Sonic Generation's plot really isn't that different. Kingdom Heart's plot is 1/1 on the quality scale. It's all subjective. It's as good or bad as anything else on the market currently. I say that even though I really detest time travel and multiple timeline fuckery. But hey, everyone else is doing it, so why not?

Barrett mocks Cloud for being Shinra's dog at the first bombing run. Cloud and Stamp are both the main heroes on the boxart. The alternative Stamp seen on the Zack scene is Zack. Cloud is unreliable narrator, so the Stamp you've seen has been wrong.

Take notice that the ending scene with Zack, Cloud and Aerith is a fake out, making you think Zack is in the present when infact it is from the past. As an old fan, you would know this. This and the Zack scene with Stamp bag are for new players who don't know who this NOT Cloud is. Thats why there is a NOT Stamp shown right before Zack's introduction.

Sonic generations is dumb and childish but knows itself to be so and doesn't have a pretentious running meta commentary. it also makes more sense and has less plot holes because it's only harry potter type timetravel rather than alternate timelines stuff and there's no time ghosts.

How is that a spoiler?

The Arbiters in the Remake are specifically the Arbiters of Fate of Advent Children. They try to guide the story towards future that is AC. As you defeat the fates of advent children who summon Bahamut and then the fate of AC Sephiroth, Advent Children is nolonger the future.

I also think sonic generations plot is simplified and communicated coherently despite being fucking stupid. the thing is generations makes sense in the silly cartoon universe of sanic.
FF7R makes no sense in the universe of FF7, is incompatible with the rest of the stories themes and is needlessly convoluted + communicated extremely poorly.

The Sephiroth you fight at the end of Remake is the Harbringer Wisper, who is the fate of AC Sephiroth, which is why the whole fight is a massive reference to AC.

This is more like a wink to the audience, wouldn't call it a spoiler. By the sounds of things the Remake is going to go further off the beaten path of the original, Aeris will live.

Square has lost the ability to make video games. They have this thin layer of action on top of a very light RPG core. This results in shallow and shitty gameplay. Then they also can't tell a compelling story to save their lives. It's over, square is done.

Man it's almost as if they took what was designed to be the first few hours of a much longer story and stretched that into a full game resulting in a lot of blatant filler and a sudden contrived ending that doesn't really resolve anything.

Loz has that weapon on his right arm just like the fist wisper. tifa doesn't have that.
the gunner has 2 guns that double as blades. barret doesn't have that.

That entire segment where he leads Cloud through illusionary fire was a stall.
His goal right then and there was to prevent Aerith and Cloud from ever even meeting, by leading Cloud down some winding alleys and distracting him with nonsensical bullshit about the two of them saving the planet.

Then those meddling time jannies and their fucking dog foiled his plans by forcing Aerith to stay in the area until Cloud finally did show up.
But Sephiroth, never one to be deterred by things such as fate or making players content with getting the same thing as always, tried to switch up tactics and tried to apply some cryptic warning to Cloud about this girl he just met that makes it sound like she's going to suffer if she hangs around him. Without outright telling him she'll straight up be killed, otherwise the jannies might NOOOOOOOOO him away like they did Hojo.

After that it's just Sephiroth spending an entire game manipulating Cloud and implanting visions of Aerith's death into Cloud's head with the Jenova cells in Cloud's body.

Because it happens in the fate of AC.

But if Aerith wins, they'll have access to the Holy magic much, much sooner and Meteor would be a non issue. Then it's just a case of moseying on down to Sephiroth's corpse is and wrecking, before he can awaken the Weapons.
