Makes you wonder if the positive reaction in the first place was because he had his name on it.
Probably should have stated in the first post but I have nothing against Mick, I loved his KI soundtracks, I just think the sudden reaction is very much unwarranted and has more to do with how they feel about Bethesda than the music itself.

It took me a while to get through the soundtrack once I got it, but I had my reservations on it the moment I went through it. It was subtle, though. It's not something I could quite put my finger on. The soundtrack as a whole just felt lackluster compared to 2016's, and I couldn't figure out why. I'm imagining a similar reason is why nobody quite went as far as making bad comments about it prior to finding this stuff out. Nobody hates it, but it's clearly not as good as it can be, and that's the real reason people are upset. That said, people were also already enjoying the REALLY shitty gamerips uploaded prior to the release of the soundtrack, so the youtube audience is a different story entirely.

You're thinking of BFG 10,000 which is an entirely new track, the early uploads were also fan compositions based on clips used for game music, not the official compositions.
Nobody had heard BFG 2020 outside of the game until the official release, and played back to back with the original version from 2016 there is a very noticeable dive in quality.
