This is exactly what happened to Wynne. She was revived from death by a Fade spirit prior to the start of Dragon Age Origins.

Well the way it's explained here it sounds way more like a Wynne situation, were a spirit is keeping her alive, not animating her corpse.

First of all she's still has her personality.

Second her corpse is not decaying.

The only other explanation would be a Cole situation where a spirit is mimicking her without being aware of it, but I see nothing pointing to that.
