Looks like there are at least 4 main characters with customizable armors. Not sure how the recruiting part of the trailer comes into play.

And none of it was as flanderized as the trailer for this. This is a game set in the world with rape farms and soldiers so riddled with PTSD none of them sleep if they can help it. Where the funniest character kept his attitude up as a defence mechanism to keep morale up and wrote letters to his dead mother when he was alone.
Its a fucking weird tonal clash. Feels like borderlands instead of gears.

Gears of War was an incredible game with a uniquely written fascist military apocalypse setting rife for storytelling and it lasted for 1 game before they completely fucked everything up forever. Tactics is just pissing into an ocean of piss at this point.

Dom was a fucking retard stuck in an eternal PMS cycle after blasting his wife in half with an active reloaded Boltok pistol and dragged the series down with him. Cole was great but again they completely hamfisted his "is this guy really enjoying himself or is it a defence mechanism" undertones by once again completely stamping on any nuance with cutscene after cutscene of him pining over the glory days and getting emotional. How a game series about desperately clinging onto the last remnants of a lost world and going down swinging with your brothers turned into couples therapy is beyond me.

Third game literslly solidifies Cole Train's "WOOOOOOO" personality is a big defense mechanism. "You ever feel like your dead but nobody's told you?". He's been through fucking absolute hell fighting the Grubs for 14 years nonstop and all around him is just destruction, death and suffering. A professional Thrashball player who understands there will never be a a return tovnormal life agsin and continues to keep the facade of being bombastic to avoid the cascade of depression.
