I mean, it basically is already dead. The servers and matchmaking aren't broken, there's just no one playing. It's a shitty, boring game and it is basically impossible to win as the Predator. It's so trivial to win as the human team that it isn't even fun. The Predator gets completely shit on and can't do much of anything about it because the balance is wildly out of his favor. The game is terrible though and through.

Lots of hate in this thread but I’ve been genuinely enjoying it.
Played as humans once, felt scared knowing any time I was engaging the AI that the predator could be coming up behind me.
Played as predator 4 times so far, if you take on two or three fire team members at once, yes you will fucking die. The trick is watching and waiting for a good opening. Knowing when and where to hit someone is extremely gratifying for me.

I always have liked predator and even though it’s not a big game by any means, it’s pretty fun for 30 min bursts. I’m pretty busy so I don’t have a lot of time to devote to RPGs or hefty single player campaigns.

I guess it just depends on what you’re looking for; my expectations were low so they’ve been exceeded.

There isn't any reason to play, it sucks. Predator is easily seen and heard from a mile away so they will always spot you quickly defeating his entire stealth playstyle. Most of his weapons are fucking useless. All of his abilities and weapons are made for singling human players out to take out stealthily or in 1v1 melee but there is zero reason for the humans to ever split up so you'll never really get those kinds of openings and you'll just end up dead instantly if try to fight them as a group. Hell, even the human melee knife does noticably more damage to the Predator than the Predator's sword and wrist blades do to them.

Yes, losing to a coordinated fire team is frustrating.
At higher levels you gain access to weapons that can really fuck with the humans like the bear trap and net gun.

To play as a predator. Every single game in this genre is rigged against the "monster". The allure draws people in and then they leave, the only long term players being the survivor mains.

I notice that if some people decide they don’t like a game, they seem to really have a problem if others enjoy it.
I don’t like sports video games but I’m not going to shit on Madden players if that’s what they like.

thats neat & all but whats the point in complete stealth while not moving when nearly all the time you need to keep moving & if you do move they will fucking hear/see you.
Maybe if the pred knew what mission the fire team were on before the game the pred could be waiting somewhere with traps set up but they cant, they have to guess & keep moving otherwise most games would be boring as fuck.

I literally saw the announcement for this game a month ago, saw it was getting a beta weekend. Didn’t play it then. Browsed Facebook last night. Saw an ad it was released and I’ve played 6 games total. I’m just saying I have had fun so far and I really don’t understand the “predator is hard, this sucks” argument.
I wouldn’t enjoy it if predator was easy.

I really haven’t experienced any bugs as far as I can tell. My wait time for playing predator is about 3x longer than queuing for humans but that’s understandable if everyone wants to play predator.
Other than that I’ve not encountered anything I could call a bug.

So is the consencus on this buy or no buy?

No it makes you a shill when you praise a game that clearly suffers from janky/balancing issues.

I want to buy this game but I just know it will be dead & they fixed zero of the jankyness/balancing from the beta.

I’d say buy if you like left 4 dead, evolve, or any other asymmetrical teamwork based games and/or you’re a fan of predator.

Don’t buy if you wanted a single player campaign or multiple game modes.
