>the last two words of the mass effect trilogy was "downloadable content"
Are you still mad Yas Forums?
The last two words of the mass effect trilogy was "downloadable content"
Nope. Never played the games in the first place. However, if it's anything close to as bad as the ending of Life is Strange, I feel for the people that actually cared. At least I only played one game before getting a giant dick slap to the face. Y'all stuck with it through three of them plus DLC only to get that treatment.
No.
No, I was already over Mass Effect when 2 striped away most of the RPG elements
MAYBE I'M FOOLISH
ME3’s ending really wasn’t that bad.
I don't think about Mass Effect at all
That doesn't really matter. Only the effect it had to the franchise.
I didn't even get that far. I was happy playing the beginning of the 3rd game, but once I discovered the ending just led to 3 colors and Shepard as Bruce Willis pressing the button, I just uninstalled it.
I am still made.
I am so mad I don't think I will ever be able to get invested in a multi-game storyline ever again. So mad I don't pre-order any storyline-heavy games.
I can't believe you guys were not strong enough, baka.
>Instantly destroyed his ass.
>Gets cover fire from air support while he heals like a bitch.
>Repeat two more times.
>mfw that cutscene.
>mfw that message.
It's like Bioware knew they could no longer write worthwhile antagonists and just depended on annoyance via bad writing to create any kind of emotional impact.
Anyone got that bioware adventure parody video making fun of mass effect 3 with the mtn dew gamer credits stuff in it?
The real last exchange for me was.
>We had a good ride.
>The best...
This is why I've never touched the ME series
MAYBE I'M BLIND
Each game is worth playing through once. There's a reason why a lot of people on Yas Forums still have lengthy ME threads while shit like Anthem and Andromeda were immediately forgotten.
Well, considering there is no DLC after that message I'm sort of wondering what the fuck they were talking about.
Leviathan and the Multiplayer had some DLC
And Citadel iirc. All came after the base game
I swear that was a change pre and post extendee cut. It didn't always say dlc. Am I going nuts?
What happened to all those parody videos making fun of all the dlc and how the game turned into space call of halo?
>The best
>Kills franchise
Bravo Bioware
No, it was changed. Which just makes you wonder what the fuck they were thinking with the original. It looks a lot like a placeholder, actually.
I still can't decide if the whole extended cut thing was planned beforehand or not. It feels like they got it out too quickly for it to have been made entirely post-release. I think there was probably an original version of the ending halfway between the vanilla and extended that was trimmed down to play up the mystery/ambiguity.
They killed it 5 years later.
This man makes hatred look like poetry, directed to a video game, no less.
He could've been your average Yas Forumstard from 2008, berating with foul and loud language that which he disagreed on. But time passes, and when "FUCK SHIT ASS CUNT" can no longer convey the depth of your disgust and ire, you finally turn to the beautiful world of words, to paint a vast, yet bleak, landscape of disappointment, broken hopes, and disdain. What 20 words could have conveyed in simpler times, now require paragraphs of loathing to put the unsuspecting anonymous reader in perspective.
I am indifferent now. You may hate ME. But him, he has allowed that miserable opus, once brimming with potential and hope, to reside in his thought process forever. And unlike a decaying carcass, whose stench will eventually fade away after the maggots have had their feast, this corpse of a foregone love will insidiously extend its caustic wound until every single drop of any other emotion leaks out of him, leaving the carcass to plug what will then be an empty vessel.
Let's be real here. There was nothing Andromeda could do, to make up for ME3. Granted it didn't do itself any favours, but ME3 made sure, this wasn't going to work.
They changed it when people started pointing out how stupid it was to end a series with "buy DLC"
Actually it was content OK
Never understood the hype ME got.
That's OK.
Seems like the last word is "OK".
Could've worked.
If it were done perfectly, it could have.
But the only way that could have happened would have been if it were made by a different developer. With a different publisher.
>There was nothing Andromeda could do
How about not give a huge middle finger to the actual fans?
I wouldn't know I only played the multiplayer in 3
Just turn off game when Shep and Anderson sit down together and fade away with their job done
This shit still makes me mad as hell.
>introduce some wannabe ninja as a badass
>gets absolutely wrecked when not in a cutscene
>lose in cutscene
>get xbox live tier email
>lolololol yuo suk so bad sheptard
>Could've worked.
I remain doubtful.
>If it were done perfectly, it could have.
Done perfectly is an impossibility.
>How about not give a huge middle finger to the actual fans?
Bioware started that with ME3. Why would they change that, when it proved to be such a good tactic?
What about the little human boy shaped reaper ai that just hangs around all day on the thing you guys built?
I'm still mad
I will always be mad.
On my death bed I will be mad.
When the seas heat up and the world falls into global catastrophe I will still be fucking mad.
In the afterlife, when I get to the gates of Heaven, St. Peter and his angels will ask me "Are you still mad about ME3?" My answer will be yes.
When the race of man is no more and the ruins of man's cities have crumbled into dust, I will still be mad.
Ancient alien civilizations will find the smoldering, volcanic corpse of planet Earth and decode the secrets of the ancient "internet" and they will find this post and so my eternal anger will be brought forth into the far-flung reaches of outer space.
When the last tiny flash of heat in the universe dies and all descends into entropy, my hatred will remain.
anything could work in the hands of a talented writer (i've seen some random youtuber offering miles ahead better plot than those jokers at ea montreal ended up with)
>have the original models just given new textures
>avoided tumblr-tier writing
>kept the class system, but perhaps allowed for a second bonus power at a point in the game for soft multiclassing
that alone wouldve made it passable for me
>Bioware started that with ME3
wrong - they started off tossing players and engaging story flow since the beginning of ME2
