where would you even get a 360 controller? No used ones cause they're filled with semen and dickcheese

Good luck playing any simcade game with the 360 controller

I made the switch to the Xbone controller after using 360 controllers for about 8 years or so. I've yet to experience any downside, and the D-pad and triggers especially feel a lot better.

Xbox One:
>Better D-pad.
>Better RT/LT triggers.
>Better rumble where it's supported.
>Superior integration with W10.
>Stiffer face buttons.

Xbox 360
>Better RB/LB shoulder buttons.
>Debatably more comfortable? Heavier.

Both beat out the DS4. Don't fall for the meme.

Get this.

I made the switch a while back and while it's annoying to have to swap batteries every now and then instead of just having it run on a usb cable, the design of the controller just feels super comfortable to me, better than the 360. I got big ol mitts so you mileage may vary but if you've got large hands it's honestly one of the most comfortable controllers I've used.

I made the switch a few years back once the new bluetooth variant came out, never regretted.
Big selling points for me were -
>connects with normal micro USB instead of some bullshit dongle
>bluetooth connectivity
>better LB/RB buttons

>I made the switch

Nintendo identified.

The only downside to the Xbone controller is the AA batteries but if you buy a set of rechargables you'll never have to worry about it again.

i use a switch pro controller on pc with no noticeable problems. pretty comfy controller all around too.

so i can't stand the fucking joycons anymore should i get a switch pro controller or a usb wireless adapter and just use my ps4 controller

Why the fuck are the Xbox One's R and L buttons so horrible? They feel cheap and rickety like a cheap McDonald's Toy.

What the fuck?

downside of xbox controller compared to elite versions

the metal ring and thumbstick don't wear out like the plastic versions which slowly grind away at the thumbstick joint

both rubbersticks melt and deform when any kind of solvent is used to clean it, so if you want to avoid that cover them in rubber grips

go clean an old controller thumbstick with alcohol and see if it starts breaking apart in a month, it just doesn't the shitty rubber material they use now for modern controllers is so goddamn shit, they chose softness over longevity

The dpad isn't complete and utter shit.
That alone makes it superior.

>>Better D-pad.
this alone makes the Xbone controller better, the omnidirectional one on the 360 was god awful and defeated the entire purpose of having a d-pad for many games that rely on it for movement

I just got my wii u pro controller setup on my PC and it's easily the best fucking thing I've ever used bar none. I can't believe I had this lying around forever since I stopped playing my Wii U. Sucks that you have to go through a third party program to make it work but it's worth it. The control stick is this perfect size where you don't have to travel very far to go to the end of one direction.

God shut thee fuck up already with your cheap Nintendo trash controlleers that feel like squidgy garbage in your hand and use A for back and B for confirm.

Every thread these manchildren.

>you are discussing Xbox controllers? L-look at me, I use a Nintendie one!

It's a controller thread, cry some more.

This

Can't wait for the new Xbox controller. Looks like they addressed the few issues I have with the current xbone controller.

Both are better than the DS4, but at the very least the DS4 is comfortable to hold for the first time in Sony history. Why are PS controllers so fucking awful?

>instead of just having it run on a usb cable

So why don't you just us a USB cable?

>The nightmare of finding a way to plug it in.
lel

Are you talking about the bumpers/RB-LB or the shoulder triggers?
If you're talking about RB-LB then you're right and the reason they suck shit is because they used some technology that makes so you can press the button by applying pressure up. Problem is, it makes them more fragile when you press against them from their front.

It's crazy because that's almost ingenius to be able to press the RB/LB bumpers with your fingers never leaving the triggers BUT few is conditioned to use them that way and Microsoft did a shit job of instructing people to use them like that.

The added fragility sucks using them wrong too.

And instead the shoulder buttons are absolute garbage. Have fun playing Dark Souls or Long Sword in Monster Hunter with those.

Just buy the pro

it was at least easy on your thumb. This hard plastic feeling dpad on the one controller hurts my thumb. Can't play any classic RE's on it all.

So they make the d-pad shit again? Epic

>they added another button
holy shit, they finally fixed the biggest problem

This, but I would add that you should make sure it's the S/X version. You can tell because the faceplate goes all the way up to the top where the Xbox button is. That version has a headphone jack and bluetooth whereas the launch version didn't have either.

Oh, also, speaking of shitty shoulder buttons, does anyone know how to fix a fucked up LB? Mine only registers half the time and I'm trying to at least make it to this fall before replacing it so I can get the SeX controller.

please respond

pretty much this, supply on the 360 controllers is running low
it's a lot easier and honestly at this point the Xbone controllers probably cost as much as new 360 controllers because of supply

What makes it even stupider is that they intentionally designed the 360 dpad like that because they thought it would be good for fighting games.
As it turns out, for some reason a dpad that presses a whole bunch of directions other than what you're actually pressing is pretty fucking detrimental in precision based games.

joycons should only be used as a last resort, at least get a procon.

>The nightmare of finding a way to plug it in.
original Xbox controllers are just USB with a proprietary plug, you can rewire them yourself or get a $5 adapter that plugs into the cable breakaway

>NOO NOT MY HECKIN THUMBERINO

> they intentionally designed the 360 dpad like that
No, whatever excuse they made was just coping because Nintendo had cross shaped dpads patented back then. Yes, really. It's the same reason Sony has the retarded split dpad on their controllers.

i like the xbox one controller but something about the clacking of the stick sounds cheap. personally i liked the 360 controller. i really like the ps2 controller but think the ps4 controller is shite. just cheapyly made and falls apart after a year.

>Sony has the retarded split dpad on their controllers.
that's not retarded.

Yeah, the 360 D pad is AIDS infused with Corona.

The only bad parts about the Xbone controller are that garbage guide button, LB/RB feel a bit weirder than on a 360 controller and I personally don't like it, and being slightly smaller. The guide button is especially bad if you like taking screenshots on an actual Xbone or using it as a button on PC, you have to extend way further and push deeper just to trigger it.

Xbox should have kept the black and white buttons on top of all they've added to the controllers over the decades.

>Using the guide button.
>On PC
lol

My perfect controller would be xbone without analog triggers

based

dualshock 2
10 years of use on this specific one and the sticks are still tight as fuck.
Rumble so strong it actually makes my hands a little numb sometimes.

>B for confirm
>A for back
>both sticks in the middle
>no shoulder bumpers
>that tiny size
Kys

You can use a program called "Button on Guide" and it remaps it. Makes it a quick F12 button for games.

ds2 is the bbc of controller

the way they're made is to use the base of your index finger while it's already one the trigger

You mean it's users were made for taking bbc.

>no shoulder bumpers

It has shoulder bumpers and two analog triggers

>that tiny size

The face buttons are more spread out than a PS4 and 360. The buttons are bigger too.

Google brings up nothing.
