Is it just a quirky Japanese thing to do or was there some other reason characters kept shush motioning? Sometimes there were legitimate reasons, like Tifa wanting Cloud to be quiet when Marlene was sleeping, but other times it stood out because it was uncalled for. I feel like there were other examples, but I can't scrub through hours of cutscenes.
Was there a reason for this?
They were just sniffing their fingers after putting them up their butt holes. I don't know, that game has really cringeworthy cutscenes.
Old Freemason hand sign.
The only one that didnt really belong was tseng but he was being a cheeky shit
Its definitely a Japanese thing cause your character does it at the end of the XIV ShB story as well. I dont know what it means but apparently Nomura loves doing that shit so expect it about 48549 times in the next ff7 remake episodes.
same as the constant stupid headshaking during the ending
Yeah, but the headshaking was taken from an animation in the original game.
I didn't care about the gesturing but
>barret has hojo at gunpoint
>fuck it I'll just do let him do whatever he wants
fine, hojo distracted barret by pissing him off but he's a scrawny guy, anyone could have held him down with one finger.
Nah, I think it's just another stupid anime gesture.
Its the same stupid american clapping
yeah the whole tower part was fucking stupid.
I guess it's most likely a "Nomuraism" then.
ffxiv looks like THAT?
No, stop looking.
Pretty sure it's some Japanese thing, not the only game I've seen it in. Death Stranding had that shit too.
Didn't seem as out of place in Death Stranding, but maybe.
its just Nomura
Higgs and Fragile also do it.
Do they think it looks cool?
DS has a lot of themes revolving around children/babies and obviously stealth mechanics, and it's just a weird fuckin game, so it seemed to more naturally fit in.
why the fuck do the characters make gasping sounds before and after every fucking word
what?
huh?
Sorry?
maybe they're just out of breath
Tcchhh. Hup... what did say, senpai? Ohhhh?
m-maska
I wish Japs would figure out that shit doesn’t translate well to English.
it does
LMAO weeaboos
