they're pretty much the same as they are in 2
you can just high stance heavy attack everything to instantly break ki and cheese 99% of enemies in the game

Sorry to see that, because it's mostly the same as Nioh 1. But it has better mechanics and more QoL improvements. But if you hated diablo loot from Nioh 1 then you'll hate Nioh 2 because it's back with a vengance

However there are semi scripted "invasions" in the game. There's a yokai that summons humanoid npcs that use the equipment found on graves left by real human players. Though in Nioh 1 there's a separate PvP mode like the duel sites in Dark Souls

They're better in 2 due to the flat ki damage to they do. With no frills you can drain human and yokai ki with no effort. I didn't like them in nioh 1 at all but I like them almost as much as odachi in 2.
