FFXII on PS4 and Steam recently got updates adding the content that was in the Switch and Xbone versions. This includes job switching at Montblanc and multiple Gambit sets. Only thing missing is carrying over items to NG+.

So why aren't you (re)playing the best FF?

So why aren't you (re)playing.

i'm trying to make money at home,Yas Forums already takes off too much of my time, dont need another distraction, worse even from a game i already finished 10 years ago

Howre you doing that?

>rather shitpost on Yas Forums than play games
Typical.

I'm playing it for the first time and I'm having a blast. Rabanastre is still fucking impressive today.
Also I love the art, reminds me of FFXIV

>shorts bodysuit
picked up

Because all of Squeenix's remasters look like shit.

Why the fuck this doesn't have proper KB+M control like XIV?

I'm surprised they went back to update it. Did it break anything?

How's the steam version?

This might sound silly but how good is the story? I see all the games gorgeous artwork and I wonder if the story carries the same feeling as the art

I was surprised, too. It gives me hope they might add the DQIX stuff, too, but since that stuff was Switch exclusive, I'm not sure. And some mods probably need to be tweaked again.

Works like a charm. Some people complain about textures, but that's a pretty standard lacking area in HD remasters.

Story is solid. Best in the series, I think. It does the artwork justice.

Hmm... I'm impressed they updated an old game. I'll add it to my watch list and will buy it if there's nice sale.

The story is very political at times, but there are more magical elements that come into play around half-way through and they only become more prominent towards the end.

I'm playing it right now, at the point where you're back in Rabanastre after geting the Dawn Shard.
Having a blast honestly, even though the games exremely easy apart from the optional shit. But the story's intersting enough so i don't really mind.

What's crazy is that they toned down the difficulty despite the fact that they added the ability to get two classes per character. If anything, they should have made it harder. I got a few game overs in the original and IZJS, but I didn't even come close to getting one in TZA.

The problem is they toned it down for IZJS to accommodate the job system but didn't turn it back up for Zodiac Age. The only way to challenge yourself is set arbitrary restrictions or run Weak Mode.

>,Yas Forums already takes off too much of my time
Do what I do. And any time you feel like posting on Yas Forums, play a game instead.

I also kinda fucked myslef over by actually grinding levels so i could take down the potional Demon Wall.
Only found out afterwards that the reward is literal garbage so i guess i'm overleveled for a good while.

Haven't played XII yet, but from what I know about the game, being able to respec endlessly seems really overpowered. Would it just be better to ignore that feature if I actually want a challenge?

>being able to respec endlessly
You can respec only once, and only after the most recent update.

Working on some other RPGs right now, but maybe I will after those. I thought this game was considered mediocre though.

The second job already makes you overpowered. Respeccing just allows you to experiment a bit more.

Game is far too shitty to drop $25 on and that's the fucking sale price. Hated it in 2006 so i dont see how that would change now

What mods should I get for this game?

just pirate it

i got a letter in the mail that said i can make money folding envelops and all I had to do was send a check to get started so i'm just waiting on the envelopes to come in the mail now

Struggle for Freedom challenge mod

DrakLab to install mods
Blur Removal is you're a decent human being
Playstation gamepad UI is you use a PS controller
Dancer's Battlesuit/Ashe show's more thigh if you're a coomer (even thoug hthese aren't really coomer-tier mods)

Important tip for new players: do ALL the sidequests.

I bought it last night, I swear this time I'll actually finish the game

Why?

What class goes well with Uhlan? I made Vaan an Uhlan but I don't really have a second class planned out

There is a reward for doing so.

This shit is old I’m sorry.

that air ship glitch that give you invisible bow still work?

sounds like a good way to fuck your game up since it just got a gameplay update

Since there were only a few pages of mods I went through them all already. Here's a better guide

>Pay us, we'll give you a job.

user... pls.

I hope that check wasn't an amount you'd miss.

Best story of the entire franchise, MC is bland but that's kinda irrelevant, just pretend Balthier is the MC and everything is flawless.
