I read your title as "Perfect Dick" game for some reason

hehehe.. dicks hehe

I used to put Joanna in her dress and look up it on the Egyptian level as player 2.

no

Nah FPS genre is already crowed. They’d be cashing in on nostalgia and branding instead of innovating something.

Yes

First of all - AAAA game from Initiative. The game is a Perfect Dark reboot made with Coalition(black tusk games) games. Coalition worked on spy action before gears 4, but the project was cancelled. Now they use materials from that game to create next gen world of espionage. It is a story- driven game with MMO elements. For example, in the demo they will show you play as an agent, you get the mission to steal a document from the heavily guarded building. Player uses a car to drive to that building. While the trip they will show us beautiful next gen open world with tons of simulations. Inside the building, at the same time you sneak at the room with documents, you meet another agent controlled by another player that has the same mission. It means that you play in your shared world, where other agents can imperceptibly connect and start the same mission you have, or even steal it from you. It will create unique situations and interactions between players.

Did you just call the FPS genre "crowded"? For real? Name a single Perfect Dark style espionage FPS game released in past 10 years.

based on who they have hired so far this is 100% going to be a TPS

>the last 007 game was back in 2012
Jesus christ what the fuck happened

Depends. Would they bring back the classic Rare game design of semi-linear open levels with objectives, highly reactive enemies when shot, tons of weapon variety, unlockables, cheats, a hub base to fuck around with unlocks and where you choose missions/multiplayer, co-op, and a highly customizable multiplayer mode with great level design with online consisting of server lists and local being pslit screen or LAN? Then yeah, sure.

No because it won't be a Perfect Dark game, it'll be some shitty open world game using the Perfect Dark name as a way to get sales.

maybe they can revive Perfect Dark with Build Engine just like Ion Fury.

See It might be bullshit, but it does sound like the kind of game MS would turn PD into. Basically an open world Splinter Cell title with Watch Dogs-style drop-in counter-op. (But you can turn it off to stay fully solo.)

Why are these awful people still getting jobs?

A modern Joanna Dark would be an obnoxious stronk woman

Well?you wanna see it?

Rumour has it the new Perfect Dark is aiming for 2021, but it'll likely slip to 2022. Which is probably good for Cyberpunk 2077 and Watch Dogs Legion because MS are likely throwing major money and talent behind the PD reboot and if PD released this year, it would make the other games look bad.

Sounds shit, Klobrille.

Microsoft tend to start leaking pretty badly in the weeks up to their presentations. A common theme is now people saying they're in the dark about The Initiative's new game and stuff like that. Get it? The Dark. The Perfect Dark, if you will.

Stop fucking shilling your garbage here. It's obvious what these threads are. You stupid fucks got caught doing the same shit when the XBLA version of PD came out.

there are new "leaks" that contradict eachother every day on there

UNF
They are gonna have a shitty nurtured designed for the reboot I bet and it will look nothing like this

Not really.
Rare is the British version of Sonic Team where they used to be the best in the 90's but now can't make anything but trash.

So according to leddit, it's a story driven open world sci-fi/cyberpunk FPS with Dark Souls like player invasions and the only thing still related to the original Perfect Dark is the spy theme/setting

Yeah, alright Jez, we got the reference. We're not as dumb as your readers.

Don't buy it, last we heard of PD it was being developed by the Coalition but they dropped it, and the Initiative is working on a new IP

The Coalition insider Morgoth Bauglir hasn't confirmed or denied but they did say that The Coalition are focused on Perfect Dark's PvP multiplayer. Their exact quote as "something adds up, something doesnt', but they are tied mostly to pvp"

Anything that has touched Naughty Dog is instant game studio poison.

Yep. They don't give a fuck about Perfect Dark, they're using the title as a way to cash in on the nostalgiabux while recycling their shelved concept.

if Joanna doesn't become obnoxious as a SJW and the game is mission based, then yes.
If it's open world, I would rather play RDR2 or GTA instead.

No, they tried doing a sequel and it just sucked so badly.

the guy who made pic related is in charge of design

Rare aren't making the next Perfect Dark, though. Or if they are, they're merely advising. The MP dev is The Coalition. The SP dev is liiiiikely The Initiative, but it could be Sumo Digital or someone else from left field.

PD Zero wasn't a sequel. It was a prequel. Then MS snuffed out the actual sequel, PD: Core, because muh "we only need Halo". Same reason they turned down Crysis as an exclusive in favor of Ryse.

the same leaker said MS is buying SEGA, its fanfic

What went so wrong?

Attached: all that investment sure paid off.png (1134x225, 20.07K)

Damn okay, there might be some hope

They're not buying SEGA. They're starting some kind of partnership with SEGA. I've heard more or less the same thing from some other people. The next Panzer Dragoon game being an exclusive is part of it.

The Initiative is Microsoft's "what the fuck is a budget?" studio. They're throwing the best developers they can find at the problem of bringing back Perfect Dark. There are people within MS, such as Ken Lobb, who care about PD quite a lot. Whether the new PD turns out good or not, it won't be for lack of trying.

Even if it's fan-fic, you've got people like Jez Corden now saying, "I'm totally in the Dark about it," when asked about TI's next game.

its been rumored for months

Yeah, nah. The fact you're so desperate to drum up hype here proves otherwise.

Turd confirmed, thanks for the heads up

no, they'd "modernize" it unfortunately

I'm not retarded enough to think that a new Perfect Dark wouldn't be a current year soft reboot.

Cope, the game is fun

Attached: 20181118175748_1.jpg (3840x2160, 1.74M)

>Copeposter

Sure, I guess. If it's good.
Goldeneye and PD are still fun games.

Seethe

The only way I can see them bringing back PD is either going for the old n64 style of level difficulty where the levels grow in complexity as the difficulty goes up, mixed in with a nice carrington institute hub with a lot of extra content. Or if they have to do open world make it the cyberpunk rpg that we're obviously not getting with 2077, with a nice branching story and complex dungeons.

THQ got the real team to work on a new Timesplitters project as of last year, all they need is David Doak.

If this is Perfect Dark put together entirely by Microsoft is going to be a big let down. everyone saw what happened with pretty much all the remasters, reboots, and sequels Microsoft has put out, it's not gonna be good.

Attached: Jacque_de_la_Morte.jpg (340x240, 10.14K)

never played one before so i'm looking forward to trying it if it's real. same for fable. never really played any of them aside from an hour or two at my cousins place in fable 3 co-op.

The Phantom Dust remaster was pretty good. It was even free. Still is. Shame nobody played it.

The game's existence has had borderline rock solid rumours since early 2019. Vergeben mentioned that he heard of the game's existence in 2018. But the problem is the lead studio hasn't been identified. Everyone knows The Coalition is making PD's MP. But the lead studio? Could be Sumo Digital. Could be The Initiative. Insiders seem to be hinting more strongly at TI now. It's kinda uncanny how a weirdly hush-hush Perfect Dark appears out of nowhere in the same year MS's super hush-hush studio was founded.

The TimeSplitters team is the people who DIDN'T make Perfect Dark, for the most part. It's why TimeSplitters is so different to PD in feel.
