How would you feel about a full KH1 remake?
How would you feel about a full KH1 remake?
Doesn't need one. The gameplay still holds up very well.
Totally against it because it would be complete rape. KH1 was the only game where Disney characters actually mattered in a series whose whole gimmick was having Disney characters. If they made a remake, it would be way shorter, way easier, the Disney characters would be retconned out of their story importance, and there would probably be fewer worlds. Make a Kingdom Hearts IV that isn't a short, under-delivering, piss-easy pile of garbage then we can start talking about remaking the games that were actually good.
>The gameplay still holds up very well.
It's hard for the gameplay to get much worse when it was dogshit from the beginning.
a remake of KH1 would just end up being worse
Yeah I cant wait for the time jannies to show up there too
I'd rather have a KH3 remake.
KH1's gameplay is awful compared to 2's. Which is a shame because KH1 is the only game where the story isn't completely fucking retarded.
Would be a waste of time and money, just play the HD remaster it's fine. Also I doubt they wanna go through the headache of licensing Tarzan again.
KH3 looks so ugly to me
The beach part of the Ansem boss fight is better than the entirety of KH2's mash-x-to-win gameplay.
>FF7 gets a Nomura'd fanfiction for a remake
>KH1 will get a proper 1-1 Remake in 2022.
>omg mickey mouse and the little mermaid!
That's sad. There is no value in a 1:1 remake of anything.
Only if it's a visual upgrade to look like KH3 and everything else stays exactly the same
I'm talking story wise. I love turn based combat but I was happy to see FF7 take an action approach. Cloud's sword was dying to be used in an action game.
you are retarded
You look ugly, I hope your star goes out
Gross. Recently played through KH1, it honestly holds up well. All that it could use graphically is upscaling on the textures, lighting, and rework any cutscene that has the flat mouth 2-frame talking animation. Gameplay-wise it could use some touching up but again, holds up well, aside from some moments where the camera is wonky.
The HD remaster is great. I would never buy a remake.
Don't want one, the game plays and looks great
Now gimme my Kairi game pls
It's the high FOV, everyone looks tiny.
why? the PS4 port is fine
>KH2's mash-x-to-win gameplay.
KH1 has that exact same problem but much worse. You literally cannot die in KH1 with MP rage leaf bracer and second chance and you can mash X to win every fight. KH2 at least has critical mode where you actually have to learn the combat in depth and use multiple tactics to win because mashing X in that mode will only get you killed. KH1 has nothing of the sort and is extremely boring.
If it's made using the same system as KH3 I don't want it. The original combat system was infinitely better in every way.
I like the mash-X-to-win gameplay, it's simple and I can just tune out for hours.
I just started a new playthrough four days ago and it really needs one.
>The level design is claustrophobic and maze-like at times.
>A lot of the boss fights aren't as refined as they should be
>The gummie ship sections have nothing going on
>etc
It's not that the game isn't enjoyable. It's just that it isn't very polished. It comes off as very rushed.
nah it's how they're rendered
This shouldn't have made me laugh.
It would probably be soulless as fuck.
It would be cool, as long as they don't exclude Deep Jungle. Also Sora's voice will be way deeper compared to the original, unless they reuse his voice lines. I always wanted a KH1 remake with 2FM's battle improvements. Nowadays a KH3 style battle system would be ok, as long as they use the ReMind enhancements as a base.
The original game, especially on the HD version is still 100% playable and enjoyable though.
Leaf bracer was added in Final Mix, along with other broken shit like sliding dash and slapshot.
Don’t forget pressing triangle to win with cutscenes
The beginning is rough but when it settles in it does well. Also keep in mind it's literally made for children.
Maze-like level design is a good thing.
t. brainlet
Dunno. I think it's hard to argue for Gen 6 games to be fully remade when too many Gen 5 games could use it more. HD ports from Gen 6 games with good art that wasn't aiming to be realistic tend to hold up already so I'm not sure
>Also keep in mind it's literally made for children.
You and I both know that's an awful excuse.
