I did, I got filtered by the final dungeon.
I already beat it three times. I've wrung every last drop of fun out of it
later, i already beat it too many times and i'm completely burnt out
Already dominated DOMINATING.
Okay. Forgot about this game and will honestly play it for the first time today. Your mission has been accomplished, OP.
I'm too retarded to play anything harder than normal even though I'm not that bad at building characters.
I got past Depot A and even further than that (even killed a roof nigger), but it's been so long since I played I don't remember wtf was happening
i'm sneaky sniper, is deep caverns as much as a bitch as everyone says
Depot A is really early into the game so you might as well just start over and give it another go.
Your new goal can be to kill the roof giganigger.
What game is this? Whats it about ..any games similae to it?
>killing rats in the first area takes 5 tries
why would i
Filtered.
I WANTED TO LIKE IT BECAUSE WHO DOESN'T LOVE A GOOD CRPG, POST-APOCALYPTIC SETTING AND THAT SOUNDTRACK BUT IT MOVES TOO FUCKIN SLOW AND FRANKLY THE BREADTH OF THE CHARACTER CUSTOMISATION OPTIONS IS A BIT OVERWHELMING
AVERNUM 3 IS STILL THE SUPERIOR POST-APOCALYPTIC SURVIVING UNDERGROUND CRPG
>tfw got filtered
Press + 5 times
>avernum 3
>not exile 3
NGMI
whats the dev up to these days? is he working on Underrail 2?
Underrail Infusion.
I WAS ONLY NINE WHEN I GOT THE DEMO OF AVERNUM 3
I LATER TRIED EXILE 3 WHEN I WAS STILL A KID BUT IT WAS TOO ANCIENT
IT'S TOO BIG
Everytime I get to Core City and start doing quests there, it loses its allure to me. For some reason I was completely content with finding small pockets of civilization underground and having that wary faction feel to it, but the moment I get to a bustling city all that gets tossed out the window and it feels like Shadowrun.
Standalone expansion next.

It's on my backlog. I want to get into it but when I keep on reading about all the sorts of builds and how you can fuck yourself if you don't know what you're doing, it's on a low priority right now.
same
>dood go fetch that shit scattered all over the deep caverns with respawning mobs and worms that melt your gear
nope.avi
>Go into the controls menu and see there is a speed up game option "+"
>Hit +
>Literally does nothing
>Rebind it to "="
>Still does nothing
>Go through half the game just playing it on normal speed
>Find out the bottom left corner has arrows that control game speed
I've probably played about 20 hours or so, and now I think that speeding up the game kind of kills the flow and atmosphere, but now I can't go back to normal speed especially when overencumbered.
>and how you can fuck yourself if you don't know what you're doing
it's not that bad. you can look over all the perks right at char creation to help you pick your stats or plan a bit for the future and they clearly state what said stats do. just keep in mind that grenades are life savers on any build and you will never need lockpicking or hacking to get anywhere, it's just handy to have but there's always alternative routes or keys
>reach core city
>restart
>get to tchort institute
>restart
>beat the game
>start several new files
>every time I hit the DC elevator I stop
Each individual area isn't too bad, but the whole thing is just too much of a slog.
It's like running through depot A five times.
It's grueling. The stealth will help you a lot.
Underrail could've been a masterpiece but the dev halfarsed the final boss.
Don't read if you don't want end spoilers:
imagine if tchort had amalgams of the still cognizant biocorp scientists, mutilated beyond humanity, with varying levels of loyalty to the beast. The wretch itself partially indeterminate in nature due to the dissonance of its parts. Perhaps the boss fight could have been multiple rooms, giving a bit more lore along the way. Perhaps you attempt communication with the mutilated scientists that find themselves melted into the body of tchort.
It could've been so much more...what we got were a few tentacles and eye that most people could one-shot.
you could also not pick up all the trash you find and avoid being overencumbered, or be a real juice an use the rathound regalia + powerfist + food + lifting belt + drugs whenever you need to haul your soon to be shekels back
i made a shitty character and got filtered by depot a
haven't played in a while though, poll give it another shot soon
Íts still a fairly good boss user.
It fucking knows of Descent and Ascending. It bloody knows.
if you are playing on normal you can just clear the whole thing with grenades and traps having 0 skill on them
It was just such a great build up, reading all the lore. Even the music had what seemed to be the biocorp scientists' cries coming from Tchorts chamber. Such a great atmosphere.
Then I get into the thing and one shot it without any fanfare or good dialogue. Such a great game sullied by the most important moment. Also it looked like shit. And don't get me started on the faggot that steals your cube no matter what.
> you can look over all the perks right at char creation to help you pick your stats or plan a bit for the future and they clearly state what said stats do
One thing the game doesn't mention is breaking points for gear, f.ex. how much STR you need for heavy armor or stuff like assault rifles. But yeah, pretty much every character should invest in Throwing and Chemistry for grenades if they're not psi users who already get plenty of AoE and CC from psi schools. Grenadier is one of the most useful perks in the entire game. Unlike other crafting materials Chemistry materials are also plentiful and component quality is set in stone, so there's really no RNG involved or constant wondering when you're going to find better gear.
I'd also say Hacking is good on a blind run because it lets you skip some difficult stuff. Hacking is also better than Lockpicking because latter only lets you open boxes and doors, whereas Hacking lets you open electronic boxes, electronic doors and sometimes interact with computers that do shit like shut down defenses and the like. Some quests also have hacking checks. Lockpicking does let you open ventilation shafts but same can be achieved with just having a crowbar and high STR, either from your build or using stuff like Adrenaline Shot or the native coke to get a temporary stat boost.
Stealth is fantastic for any build if you're not walking in tin can armor, even if you don't use weapons that have specific stealth attack feats like a dagger or a crossbow, because attacking from stealth always ensures you get the first turn of combat - and Underrail is a game of stuns - so getting to kill or disable few enemies right at the start is invaluable.
I got filtered by the first combat encounter
>most people could one-shot.
>Then I get into the thing and one shot it without any fanfare
Shut your ass liars!
