How important is framerate to you? I've stopped playing games due to stutters or poor optimization, I think I'm probably autistic as even a small drop from 60 to 59/58 annoys me.

Ever since I got a 144hz monitor anything below 60 is literally unplayable
60FPS should've been the bare minimum in current gen, you try all you can but you cant prove me wrong
I've had the opposite experience. Ever since I got a GSync monitor the 45-60FPS range has become a lot more tolerable.
I'd totally trade worse graphics for 60fps.
My monitor supports Freesync but I don't think I notice a difference (maybe because I have an NVIDIA card)
anything below 75-90 is disgusting.
anything above 90 I can't tell.
Never had a game dip or lag that wasn't an unoptimized shit for a long time. The biggest piece of shit i have now is monster hunter world which just can't be played properly in 4K without tuning down settings.
Red Dead Redemption 2 was also big garbage performance wise.
If I play 30 FPS all day, it's not that bad. But grabbing the Switch to fuck around in Animal Crossing while waiting for another multiplayer match or something makes it look like a slideshow.
splatoon 2 runs at 1080p@60fps on switch, its all about going with a solid art style.
