Why aren't you playing pokeMMO, Yas Forums?
>decently challenging
>access to all the best generations
>following pokemon
>get to shitpost in team chat with other fagets like yourself
>literally immune to DMCA
>adding OC dungeons with unique rewards soon™
Only real downside is that official tourneys are smogonfag rules. You should try it and join team fug.
Why aren't you playing pokeMMO, Yas Forums?
>literally immune to DMCA
How this
because im not a faggot
>all that cosmetic anime shit
No thanks.
How come this game hasn't got taken down by nitendo yet?
Other fangames don't have that sheer luck
Pokemmo provides nothing illegal. If you HAPPEN to somehow acquire working ROMs of FRLG, RSE, Pt, HGSS, and BW2, then they just have this nifty framework that turns ROMs like that into an MMO environment.
you're a fucking idiot
you don't know how copyright or DMCA works,
MMOchad user is right
And yet pokemmo has existed for years and is currently in its best state ever.
idk seems kinda gay
I actually been trying to figure out which of the many Pokemon Online games theres available, and I didnt really like how PokeMMO follows the White/Black plot instead of introducing a exclusive one.
I might stick to Pokemon Revolution instead.
What's the best Pokemon?
OC plots are always shit man don't do this to yourself
Gardevoir
can you disable chat (I assume can), but also disable player names?
I know someone younger who'd enjoy but wouldn't want them around typical internet bullshit.
Which is best? This or Revolution?
is team fug still around? The /vp/ threads died and I figured everyone stopped playing. I joined another team and have been winning tournies and shit since the threads stopped.
Glad platinum came out too, and on the same day as temtem, lel.
I've played it already, i've been waiting 5+ years for Johto to be added but still nothing.
august 2012 was 30 years ago
>no decent pokemon hentai game yet
You can hide chat, not sure about player names.
revolution requires you to pay money to get access to some pokemon, has a steeper exp curve, which you can pay for to get "extra" exp that returns it to something normal-ish. The trade economy is fucked because the pro team split into pro and "Pokeone" which was supposed to be a 3d battle engine version of pro that flopped tremendously so they swept it under the rug (Except to take people's money).
pokemmo pretty much gives you better shiny rates if you pay, and the ability to get hm items so you don't have to drag a slave around.
Don't get me wrong, I played pro a shitton, but since I started pokemmo I haven't really bothered going back.
They explicitly laid out that unova would be first, then sinnoh, and THEN johto. johto's the biggest undertaking cause they have to make kanto again.
>shitty new breeding mechanic
>consumable amulet coin
>"muh economy"
Fuck you
i've played before, went thru the entire kanto region on PokeMMO. The two things that stand out to me as bad nowadays are the fact that the battle system is newer and takes forever to play through (older system was much faster and could skip attack animations) and the game is 95% BRs and people that never actually played Red/Blue and ask retarded questions in chat.
>johto's the biggest undertaking cause they have to make kanto again.
No they don't, just make Johto standalone. For years I didn't even know Kanto was in Pokemon Crystal, you can do Johto without Kanto and just add Kanto v2 later.
MMO framework means MMO staples. Selling breed trash on the market and access to ocarinas more than makes up for muh economy, in my opinion.
Oddly enough you can set the player render limit to 1 (so you only see yourself), but the names still show up. You can minimize/hide chat, yeah.
Literally no one would be okay with them only shitting out half a game.
>Literally no one would be okay with them only shitting out half a game.
I would, so would many others. I want Johto, I don't give a shit about Kanto v2.
Everyone and their mother inlcuding me would call shit on them for doing that. I can wait if we get a superior kanto+johto. I used to think Sinnoh was never gonna happen and here we are.
Not sure but I think I played this game or something similar back in 2006.
>so would many others
no, you would. Don't speak for others because you're fucking dead wrong.
You're the only one speaking for others you autismic spaz. You said "literally no one" would want johto without a Kanto remake, meanwhile I and others who do exist.
Imagine getting this mad because someone wants new content in a different way than you, you fucking aspie.
I also would
Fug
Nah he's probably right; it's the same thing that makes emulators "legal"
Could nintendo forcefully bully some host or whatever to take it down?
Yeah probably, but would it hold up in court?
No
Nope ain't playing a faggot game with child rapists. Who believe they hold the best version of Pokemon when they rip off assets with none of the charm.
I don't play online games.
I like being alone.
>child rapists
what
>rip off assets with none of the charm
they didn't rip anything off, they're using the assets stored in the roms. You're saying pokemon has no charm?
pokemmo is admittedly comfy playing by yourself. it's somewhat immersive to see other trainers running around even if you aren't directly interacting with them thru battle or trade. i also liked the fact that you can customize your own character with clothing and accessory items buyable with in-game currency.
u wot
>"legal"
there's no quotes, emulators are 100% legal, we've had at least 5 different cases to prove exactly that. The atari shit, and most importantly bleem where despite bleeding the poor team dry sony still fucking lost. emulators are 100% legal. The thing that's not legal is distribution of the bios, and isos/roms, which is how pokemmo gets away with it.
It's legal in the same way as swgemu. It reverse engineers loads of the way the data on a rom interacts with the loader, but it doesn't actually offer any of that data. If you so happen to find a pokemon rom, load it in, that's fine.
Same way as you happen to find the swg install data, you can play swgemu.
