fuck that. We really don't need more shops, rotating vendors are more interesting, it'd be nice if they could just upgrade to larger stations where they sell more things when they visit. Or even better, make special characters from previous games into villagers now, like Mr. Resetti retiring to live on an island.

Honestly I'd rather them be added as traveling merchants that can do stuff for you the streamlined versions cant. Like maybe Harriet can show you more hair styles, eye colors, and sell wigs for wand costumes. More buildings would just clog the island, especially if their function is near identical to that of the streamlined versions.

Okey wait to add to this, there should also be upgrades to the already existing stores that bring in old features. Re-Tail gets there own spot in Nook's Cranny for instance, or Kicks gets merged into Able Sisters. It'd be cool if eventually Nook's Cranny turns into some kind of massive shopping building with multiple different facilities and people working in it.
