What did you think of C&C3 when it came out?
I felt a bit disappointment, but playing it now I'm realizing how good it actually was, even though it's not as good as the westwood games.
What did you think of C&C3 when it came out?
It was good. Nothing more can really be said about it. Big as I am on CnC, it was never really solid on story, which was really more of an enjoyable dressing on the solid RTS gameplay and single player campaign design.
It's fun actually. Not to mention the speed at which you play the game is crazy on higher levels. Also sucks they screwed the game with that one patch that took away from Cranes and Foundries the ability to construct turrets and superweapons. It screwed over the campaigns too (especially Nod).
Kane's Wrath is even better and people wanted C&C4 to be like this but bigger and better. And instead we've got what we have...
>C&C4
I don't know what you're talking about mate. That game doesn't exist
Indeed. Just like there doesn't exist a DoWIII...
It was so-so, but it lacked the horror elements of the second.
Frankly I think they should've went further with it, the idea of a crumbling GDI, reduced to a high tech shadow of its former self trying to bat of Nod in the dying remains of the last few yellow zones while desperately trying to hack out enough funds to terraform the moon or some shit using alien technology would've been a baller campaign.
Fuck you faggots, you contranarisns who shat on the game at launch are the ones responsible for C&C4 and the franchise dying. Look at any video of 2 professionals play this game, the amount of skill and how fast the game is is crazy, the only better C&C game is tib sun. So once again, fuck you
The EA LA games were mostly good despite corporate treating them like an RTS sweatshop. Tib Wars was made in under a year, which is pretty impressive. The only thing I can fault them for is continuing to use the Sage engine and capping the games at 30fps.
Its my favorite gameplay in the series but the FMVs being utter shit really dragged it down for me
SANTA'S COMING TO TOWN
I actually thought the cinematics were pretty good. Not as good as TS and RA2, but still pretty good
3 n KW was good
dow 3 was miles better than cnc4. Everyone who overreacted over DoW3 is gay.
>Everyone who overreacted over DoW3 is gay
I WILL REMIND EVERYONE NOW.
Hated how useless infantry were, wasn't even a point to garrisoning since a single flame/grenade/bug would instantly kill the entire building
It was okay, considering that Westwood wasn't really behind it, you can see that they tried their best and cared about making a decent game despite being fully under EA.
They removed that.
It felt like a precuel without all the cool tech like titans wolverines mammoth mutants hostile creatures nod excavators etc
It has his own style but I prefer the absolutely unique atmosphere of tiberian sun.
>Everyone who overreacted over DoW3 is gay
There is no such thing as overreacting to DoW3.
First impressions matter. And how many peak players there are? Face it. This game was and is an insult to 40K and Dawn of War.
>Expected a combination of the best elements from the first two games + larger scale
>Instead we get a game that shits all over the lore, over the characters and mechanics of how certain weapons and vehicles work in the game
>First mode on start was a FUCKING NOT!MOBA MODE
THERE IS LITERALLY NO WAY A SANE PERSON WOULD DEFEND THIS SHIT.
It sucks really bad. At least some models and animations are really good, certainly the art is not cheap.
Well, the models are just GW assets, so fucking them up would have been hard.
CHANGE BAD the post
DoW3 was an upgrade to the first two. It had much better gameplay mechanics. And what's the deal with the MOBA hate? Everyone loves MOBAs, they are among the most played games in existence today. It should be a blessing for an RTS to have MOBA mechanics beause they are the most up to date gameplay mechanics and the among the most popular right now. It also should have been more MOBA to be honest, because people like to play as heroes more than trying to micro a bunch of unites.
I liked it. I liked the graphics, how the buildings got destroyed, and the GDI plasma weapons animations. The campaigns were fun too.
Now you are evidently baiting here. This shit is no upgrade in any way at all. This game was created by people who didn't even play the previous titles (or any other RTS) and instead played games like StarCraft instead (AND ONLY STARCRAFT). It shits all over the series and essentially probably we won't see DoW4 until 2030 because of it.
I fucking adored C&C 3 and to this day I dont really understand the disdain for it.
i just miss cummy conkers so much boys.
I'm being serious. MOBAs are actually good and the reason why the last stand game mode in DoW2 made the game popular.
This is the absolute PEAK of real time strategy.
>snappy unit controls
>graphics still hold up
>unit designs are creative and easily recognizable
>campaign difficulty ramps up fast, has memorable missions that are truly difficult
>single greatest expansion in RTS history, cuts out the fat in favor of being based entirely around Kane
>soulful mods that restore the good things from previous tiberium games i.e. Tib Essence
Don't get me wrong, all C&c games except 4 are excellent in their own ways, but 3 is on an entirely different level
I always thought it was the last solid C&C. RA3 was basically a giant meme and the less said about 4 the better.
I was cautiously excited, as at that point I had a well-founded dislike for EA. I liked the game a lot, although I think it's a shame that it abandoned the mechs of tibsun.
I forget, are the C&C3 games locked at 30fps?
Was RA3 really that bad?
DoW3 should have been a straight MOBA, no half assed in-between.
