I'm trash because I always buy one late into its life and get bodied by the two people still playing

That's only a problem if you give up

I can do a shoryuken and hadouken input easily, Im just shitty at actual spacing and finding the right time to hit my opponent.

I used to be pretty solid at 3d fighters. However as I've gotten older i don't have the time or effort to commit to a fighter to get good. Takes too much time and gets much harder as twitch reflexes fade. Respect to those old men who are still able to remain competitive

I wish I was as good at fighting games as Jam is at looking like she fucks white guys

Not good at all.
Only game i was ever somewhat decent was usf4.
After playing other fighters for so much time, getting bodied and seeing how fast other players would get gud at it i just kinda gave up

Rev2 was my last fighting game, i liked it but i got destroyed way too many times.

I'm kind of okay but not really good
Generally I have just enough motivation to grind out a particular game until I get to the point where I can start stealing rounds off decent players and then stop playing for weeks/months for no particular reason and go back 3 steps for every 4 I take forwards
Fun games though, I don't regret the time spent

Does anyone else really like a fighting game or two that doesn't have a huge scene anymore? 3rd Strike and Marvel 2 are a lot of fun but practicing combos and learning frames just to play a few randoms online isn't really worth it.

i used to play sf3 almost everyday against a group of Brazilians. i think i spent like half a year getting bodied and never really beat any of the top dogs or was much of a match for them.

Me

better than yanderedev

>had an interest in fighters as a kid
>all my pals were turbo autists who memorized frames and drained the fun out of it
>adult now
>still can't enjoy them because its the fucking norm to just make fighting games unfun

Pretty bad
Rhythm games are more fun but I'm jealous of the community fighting games have

Better than my friends, worse than anyone else.

I'm much better than I thought I was.
I have a complex about playing high tier/easy characters so I never pick them but when I do I literally don't lose.
Just picture the Rock Lee moment with his weights as low tier characters, that's me dropping them and picking a top tier.

it's not that hard to memorize some of the frame data
especially if you understand the parttern behind it

im ok

Suck too much for serious tourney play, way too good for my friends. It's honestly one of the most infuriating things.

play guilty gear! i started playing mid last year and ive been having a blast with it, a lot to learn it feels very rewarding

What is there to be jealous of? They are full of infighting and politics combined with it being the genre the trannies are taking down currently. Look at the shit show going on currently in SF

I plan to enter EVO 2021 and have never played a fighter before. What game should I pick up and grind daily where I can realistically make it out of pools?

They banned the one famous trans fighter because she sexually assaulted women.

None of that shit matters to 99% of the playerbase. It probably will eventually, but at least for now if you ignore the bullshit it can't affect you unless you're a high profile player causing drama that can cost people money.

that's only in amerikkka
the best players are in korea/japan anyway

SFV or Tekken 7, or Smash Ultimate if that's your thing
they're pretty much guaranteed to be in the EVO lineup forever, and if a new SF or Tekken is released those will be in

I'm alright, just picked up gbfv and I'm having fun with it, at least when I'm not fight lancelot players.

I got to Ultra Gold on SFV before I gkt bored and quit. That was after G's and Sagat's release and before Kage.

Currently Byakko with Yoshimitsu in Tekken 7 since I began about 6 months ago.

Not very but I'm putting that grind in.

Huge events are extremely uncommon

>tfw no more locals for a year

Better than my friends so they don't want to play me, but worse than online so I get stomped.

>man too good at fighting game
>smash brothers
This story does not add up.

It's satire

Why the fuck did they make non-projectiles air unblockable?
