Yes, and a great story to go along with it

This is Gwyn, the Lord of Sunlight.

Say something nice about him.

Attached: Old-Iron-King.jpg (1024x855, 282.79K)

the plot is literally

for some reason

over and over

Your daughter is my kind of slut.

It's not Gwyn, it's the Old Iron King possessed by Gwyn's lord soul

lmao read a book if you want lore

The lore of literally all three Dark Souls games is absolutely fucking dogshit compared to Demon's Souls, Bloodborne and Sekiro lore.

Bloodborne lore is shit

Is this bait? It has to be.
Bloodborne has like top 5 lore of all time in videogame history

that's because 2 and 3 LITERALLY ruined it
if you take dark souls by itself and don't even consider anything 2 and 3 did it's quite good

Yes but it's very obscure shit

>The lore of literally all three Dark Souls games is absolutely fucking dogshit compared to Demon's Souls, Bloodborne and Sekiro lore.

A LIE
WILL REMAIN A LIE

>BEST LORE

Why didn't King Vendrick build more doors to defend his kingdom against giants? shit lore, checkm8

Nobody cares about your meme game

>story taht's all just a dream
>boss betrays you and revealed as the antagonist (wow didn't see that coming)
>guns yet can't increase amount of ammo you can hold by a decent amount
>can't dual weild guns
>doesn't allow you to play like a tps yet includes guns
>aliens out of nowhere

>>boss betrays you
gehrman doesn't betray you? nice a youtube playthrough faggot talking about a game he never played lol

>>story taht's all just a dream
bait it is

How I am supposed to know that this guy was the brother of Vendrick without checking wikidot? fyi, I checked most of the item descriptions also.

DUDE
TIME IS CONVOLUTED
LMAO

There are like 7 items that tell you he's his brother

I enjoyed the gameplay more than unoptimized "remastered" Dark Souls but I hate that it's much more ambigious storywise for even a Dark Souls game. Being overly ambigious doesn't equal to depth ffs.

Ok, thanks

>I hate that it's much more ambigious storywise for even a Dark Souls game
It isn't, the story is pretty straightforward

absolute fucking brainlet

>muh war with giants
Who cared?

I think i used a wrong wording with "story". Background lore is a more appropriate term

I agree with that but still I think DS1 lore is way worse than DeS, BB lore, and maybe even worse than Sekiros. Though I'm not into feudal Japan stuff.
This wasn't even a bad thing in DS1 because it got mentioned only once and was done to explain co-op with the multiverse theory. It was said ONCE.
Then DS2 and 3 go full retard with that shit.

None of those things happen in Bloodborne lore

>It was said ONCE.
>Then DS2 and 3 go full retard with that shit.
I think it was just 3 that went full retard with it. They have all the world fold up in a ball at the end and kingdoms that were long gone by DS2's time are back

>This wasn't even a bad thing in DS1 because it got mentioned only once and was done to explain co-op with the multiverse theory.
Also how you can walk 20 feet and have the time of day radically change

Can we talk about how amazing the story to DS2 actually is?

It's such a shame they decided to do a complete rehash for DS3.

It really depends on what you mean by story, because I'd say the story is one of DaS2's weakest points.

Ok, will elaborate but I also need to understand what do YOU mean by story?

The direction of the game, mostly, and how it's presented to the player. In DaS, the player at every point knows what they're supposed to be doing, where they're supposed to be going (as in the destination moreso than how to actually get there), and why. There's always an NPC to tell you these things. NPCs may not tell you the whole truth, but they tell you enough that the player should never be totally lost on what they should be doing.
DaS2 lacks this direction. The player rarely knows what they're supposed to be doing, where they're supposed to be going, or why. NPC dialogue is mostly unhelpful or comes too late to be useful, and in at least one case (Emerald Herald's info dump right before the final boss) is easily missable.

I never saw the forest as being depicted as a night time area. I think it was dark just because it's a thick forest where vegetation and cliffs block sunlight.
