It was fine...

It was fine. You only hate it because it didn't live up to how perfect RE2 Remake was and you have nostalgia goggles on for the original.

Being "fine" was its biggest problem. They had the opportunity to make something truly great by building off the RE2RE foundations. Yes fan expectations were high, but Capcom shot themselves in the foot by announcing it so soon after RE2RE.

I’ll wait til it’s on sale for 20 dollars thank you very much

I got it on the grey market for 30 dollars

It was fine when it could have been a masterpiece. Just like two more full areas with nemesis chasing you around before going dog mode and the game would have been more substantial than the original. Add Mercs mode on top of that and it would have taken a fucking fat ogre shit all over RE2make.

Shut up retard

>You only hate it because it didn't live up to how perfect RE2 remake was
no, it didn't live up to the original you stupid zoomer

I can GUARANTEE I'm older than you.
The old game was bad and clunky

>perfect RE2 Remake

pfffffftheheheh

>Same scripted nemesis
>Same lenght (both take less than 4 hours if you know what you are doing)
>Same action focus

>perfect RE2 Remake

No. DEmake2 was fucking intolerable zoomer garbage. DEmake3 was exactly the same shit, but this time Crapcum didn't pay the shiIIs enough to generate fake buzz, so now zoomies ""hate"" it.

>Pic
Nicolai expected her to be with the civilians in the other train car nearby. Instead she was together with the UBCS like she's one of them.

I played the original a week after the release of REmake3. Using the "you have nostalgia goggles" is a cheap excuse to brush off criticism.

I though REmake 2 was okay, but marred by rushed and lazy design, and R3make was even worse in this regard, which is my issue with it as well. I've never been anything more than a casual RE fan, so I wouldn't consider it nostalgia; I never liked RE2 and 3 quite like I did RE1, REmake, and RE4.

>cut a large bunch of content
>it was fine
pick only one buddy.

>Same scripted nemesis
scripted in a sense that he would show up at certain points in the original, chases with him were free form and not on rails like the remake.
>Same lenght (both take less than 4 hours if you know what you are doing)
My first playthrough of RE3 original was 7-8 hours( reading and getting lost), the remake took me just under 4 hours on hc. even with reading every note I got and getting lost in the hospital.
>Same action focus
No, remake 3 goes over the top with action and has terrible pacing, re3 original had a mix of action while still keeping the feel of a regame with the backtracking and shit.
You've never played the original.

seethe

It's better than OG RE3
Not that it was particularly hard

re3 og: padded with clunky shit
r3make: an enjoyable game

RE3 OG: beloved game that spawned an iconic villain that is widely recognized

R3make: Okay cinematic game that most people are criticizing due to its poor pacing, misuse of Nemesis, and attempting to get the company to fix

>i have shit taste
ok buddy

>take poorly made cash grab
>create well made cash grab
OG RE3 is a 7/10 at best, new one is a solid 7.5/10. RE3 fans are the most deluded fans in the franchise that cling to a game originally going to be a spinoff

>poorly made
>it's still a 7/10
I don't give a fuck about whether or not it was going to be a spinoff. The original game still has a lot more going for it than cinematic setpiece chase sequences or doggie Nemesis all but howling from the top of the cut content clocktower like a wolf

you've been doing nothing in this thread by giving bait replies to keep your shitty thread afloat, time to let go user

I didnt like REmake2 either dipshit
All pales in the foundations of what REmake1 did

>how perfect RE2 Remake was

clock tower and nemesis were bad but what the fuck is so memorable about the park, graveyard, factory and grave digger boss?

remake is a good remake but a bad and dated game

Its all about RE8 now.Its the main project and if it end up lazy as the REmakes,Capcom fucked up

That's why the remaster sold like fucking hotcakes and became one of the best selling entries in the entire franchise, right? lmao

i played the original RE3 hundreds of times and still play it now its not nostalgia its even better than RE 2 original because Jill controls faster and has a quick turn and RE 2 is embarassingly slow controlling

absolutely nothing, but people are gonna nitpick

>what the fuck is so memorable about the park
The Grave Digger boss
>factory
Two memorable fights with Nemesis, the remains of the US special forces lying dead around the rail gun after their battle with the Tyrants and Nicholai either dying, escaping or being killed by Jill returning fire to his chopper

It could have been better then 2make but to much content got cut without being replaced with something else.

>not even 3 million across 5 platforms
let it go. it sold less than all other mainline entries.

You're retarded if you think a remaster of a game selling nearly 3 million copies equates to a failure and a badly made game

Sorry I'm not blinded by nostalgia

I expected them to cut the park/factory, I really didn’t have faith in capcom’s shitty team to make trees and fountains. But why cut fucking clocktower, they could have reused every asset from rpd to make it, and maybe they could have actually added a puzzle there with a extra nemesis chase.

so did 0 and it's a shit game as well.

REmake foundation arent just gameplay.
Adding new stuff, polishing the old making common enemies a threat without having to turn then in bullet sponges.NO.CUT.CONTENT.

My problem with this game is how short it was, it really needed more, also the infinity launcher being so damn easy to get just makes this game a complete breeze, it was good for keeping me busy for a week while I waited or FF7R to drop tho.

>It was fine
That's a problem, RE3's remake can't be just "fine", it needs to live up to the expectation of one of the best games for the ps1, and Nemesis needs to be as iconic and threatening as he was originally, and somehow he is less scary than Mr. X. It's dumb but my biggest gripes is that they used the "You want STARS?" quote too early and it loses all impact, guess that's a good summary of the RE3 remake experience.

>non-functional dodge system
>over reliance on RNG to make runs seem different
>very little content outside of the main game
>only encouragement to repeat playthroughs of the game are literally just title cards with text on them
It IS a poorly made game, it only reaches a 7 because at the time RE gameplay was still fresh enough
