They're masterworks all, you can't go wrong.

how can a game be contrarian

>B-bideo game contrarian, has no opinions on anything I opinions on, yet it hates my entire BEEEEING.

Neither. It has a great combat system, a mediocre "team member" gimmick, some bad gameplay choices, a terrible worldbuilding and an abysmal plot.

I got in shilled by Yas Forums and thus did not enjoy it because it did not meet the expectations. In retrospective it's an ok game.

I like it, best combat out of any RPG (not that it's saying a whole lot but wizarding and archery have never been so fun), fun bosses, boring world.

It was great before it got released for PC, now people hate it because it's not exclusive anymore.

It's okay. A great idea tarnished by poor implementation and not enough focus on fun.
I would go to bbi directly and skip the rest, that's what I do.

I still don't understand why the story in this game is supposed to be shit, boring and nonsensical. And I say it as someone who has over 150 hrs currently and was dissapointed by the ending the first time before actually getting it.

Fucking great game. It shows it is unfinished even before to dive in the actual story behind the development of this game.

When the game first came out, this song played every time you started it up.

Depends really, the actual game itself is flat, the world is empty and boring, enemies are incredibly samey, the story is a clusterfuck and not very enjoyable. Much like MGS it's got a host of technological quirks, pawns are great and their AI actually learns and advances from your actions to a point you can teach them to react in certain ways when you use certain skills, and chain them together, or teach them to attack certain enemies in certain ways, etc.
But that's also something you have to actively teach them to do, just playing the game you'll likely be incredibly frustrated.
It's worth the like $10 it tends to cost nowadays, you'll get that many hours if not more just from dicking around with the combat, making a character, and exploring a bit of the world. But as you delve into it you'll either find yourself able to look past the glaring flaws to enjoy it, or put off by it. I was put off by it, pushed through and didn't feel it was worthwhile.

It's good enough I that playing it again for the 4-5th time is still pretty fun despite remembering the lay out of the entire game. A worthy sequel to this and the Legends series is the only thing I'd ever want from Capcom

>Get meme'd into get DD
>Buy it because THE WIND IS PUSHING ME!!
>Complete it
>No THE WIND IS PUSHING ME!!
I got conned it seems....

>Mfw after playing it

It's a good but unfinished game

it's awful

It's pretty good. After years of not playing I did a sword and board only build on hard mode and it was fun as fuck. I think BB is overrated. For years I wondered if it was worth playing the game over again just to experience BB but it wasn't that fun at all. Cool enemies but the level design is shit, too small and too much copy-paste. Too much like the shitty uninspired maze-like everfall when I personally think it should have taken more after the greatwall and shadow fort but on a larger scale. If you want to do a greatsword build, then don't. They're not bad but you look stupid as fuck doing jump attacks constantly because that's the most viable way to use them.

Their kind hate ice and fire both

I can’t play it on my 21:9 monitor and I’m too lazy to mod it

Living Armor is also a fucking great fight, reminded me a lot of the stalfos knights and darknut knights.

Good enough.

Tis known as the Shadow fort. Built to ward against a Goblin invasion.

Just get holy focused bolt bro

I wonder where the original information came up, I was just trying to check if the lolis/shotas weren't just midgets, sadly NPC romance doesn't even add an extra voice line when they move into the Arisen's house, Alita is stuck saying "This is wonderful!"

>Doing the shadow fort for the first time
Boy, this RPG surely knows how to deliver action.

It's a brilliant game. The combat is phenomenal, and it makes magic feel very fun. The jobs are all great, except the warrior. It really captures the spirit of tabletop RPGs. A lot of people hate the plot, but it's pretty good, most people only say it's bad because they sacrificed their waifu and got the bad ending.

>have to avoid sidequests and exploration to avoid overleveling
>have to self impose rules so you don't trivialize every encounter with instant inventory healing
>warrior skill limit
It's ambitious and cool, but the balance is SHIT.

That's not the kind of music I expected at all.

fpbp

but actually this

I loved it, it's one of my favourite games
>combat system is fun as hell
>Antagonist is an amazing character
>Dark isles is a good challenge

Most people like it but never finish it.

>The combat is phenomenal
Playing it over again after a long time made me think it was clunkier than I remember. The game doesn't give you the control you want whenever you're fighting sometimes and certain attack animations just last too fucking long without a smooth transition into other animations so you just end up playing in a certain way that looks weird. Like you said warrior is bad specifically because of this. Using a gs is one of the most painful experiences in a game. Wouldn't let this put op off cause the game is amazing anyway
