Is he overpowered? I gave him chakra and the motherfucker wont die. I think I'm gpnna give him revive next.
Barret
the combat in this game is pretty fucking dope each character adds something fun to it
it's a shame they added a bunch of gay bullshit to the end
Every character has its own niche
Barret is immortal and gathers atb like no one
tifa is a killing pressuring and staggering machine
aerith hits like a truck with magic
and cloud is way better 1v1 and good at pressuring/counter attacking
No spoilers. I haven't finished. But yea after that part where you solo as Barret it pretty much turned it into a shooting game. A devil may cry game as cloud. Aerith is really fun. Tifa punches robots to death. Is this how a double dragon remake should be?
all characters are "overpowered" when you start using them as intended
Cloud is also the best mage whenever Aerith is off duty. He is versatile like that.
Is this achievable natty?
>TFW you develop a tifa-shaped cancer on your forearm
>that was my last good arm
I loved the ending so much that it's basically the main reason why this might be one of my favorite games of all time
Anything with them hugging on arms is saveable
r/nobodyasked
What is with the fucking sunglasses?
I thought it was a "disguise" he wore during the terror attacks, but he keeps them on through most of the game and it makes him less expressive as a character.
I don't like it.
So let me get this straight
people hate fate stuff in stories because nothing matters and all
but the party destroyed the whispers
so basically they are free from fate
everything matters now
Yep, the whole "defying fate" thing actually has meaning in the context of a remake. And in this story specifically it raises so many interesting questions about Sephiroth, Aerith, and of course about Zack
When a motif from the Final Fantasy theme played as you're retconning Advent Children out of the timeline by means of a Bahamut boss fight is when this game had a greater emotional impact on me than any other game I can think of right now
made for tifa
I said no fucking spoilers.
they're cool?
>I thought it was a "disguise" he wore during the terror attacks
>Giganigga
>Visible Tattoo
>Gun arm
>always wears same clothes
>disguise by wearing sunglassess
the first sentence of each post makes it clear that the rest of the post will contain spoilers, without spoiling anything in that sentence. also dont go on Yas Forums to talk about a game you havent beat yet probably
Just wished they made Tifa less chinky. There’s a lot of other versions where she’s not as explicitly gooky.
Cloud + Triple Slash + ATB Assist
Tifa + Purple Pain + True Strike
Aerith + Arcaneward + Firaga + Magnify
Yeah, nobody ever excused Barret of being intelligent.
Post more combos that break the game. It’s the only enjoyment I get out of games anymore - finding broken / OP mechanics gets my dick hard.
>Wheres sunglasses
>" Thats not me...thats my cousin....Garrett.
Possible smoothbrain take / pretty good joke
It makes him more expressive once in the moments he takes them off.
shes perfect
>Tifa is a killing pressuring and staggering machine
Literally nothing gets my dick harder than seeing that big stagger message and just unloading with Tifa and watching that lifebar fucking disappear. How in the mother of fuck they managed to make one of the most fun combat systems ive ever played is beyond me.
i think the sunglasses are just a rule of cool thing to make barret look tougher and meaner. then when you see him without his sunglasses, he looks so much more approachable like a normal guy. i think there's a good chance he wont ever put the glasses back on in the future parts, or maybe will keep them off after corel or something
Dissappointed they didn't have any costume options for giggles even if it was only on NG+
hey kiddo, this must be your first couple weeks on Yas Forums, but you should get in the habit of avoiding this shithole like the plague if there's a new release that you're interested in. Fuck off with crying about people spoiling, it's your duty not to subject yourself to the chance in this hardly moderated open fucking forum in a fucking thread discussing the game
I just pump up his HP stats and anytime anything bad happens, just switch to him and have him shoot for free ATP because he is unkillable.
But Aerith is pretty busted with the mythril staff.
You dont even need anything else. The only other thing I can think of is Barret + Arm-pump charge trick + Maxed out Pray
I forget if its ATB assist or whichever purple / independant materia it is but cloud just rapes everything with triple slash, he gets rewarded for spamming every 2 uses, everyone elses ATB flies up and you just have Tifa boost stagger % when it happens. I platinum'd the game so I can't imagine needing anything else especially after what the last VR mission rewards you.
what about red?
wait, he is not playable or just not part of the team? i know he is in the game but i dont want to look at gameplay until i get the game on pc
Animations take too long for original character. But we added 10 OC donut steal ones. Did you rike it?
he's not playable, this has been news for a long time. He joins too late in the story to flesh out weapons and abilities. They also likely weren't able to flesh out his combat fully due to time constraints. There's already an edited save mod that allows you to play as Red and it's pretty limited to just attacking and dodging
He's a guest character like what FFXII does.
I like the twist. It has potential but very easily nomura can fuck it up
The main characters are "defying fate" only because sephiroth is deluding them into thinking that fate is not good (or at least bittersweet). Sephiroth knows he will never win with the arbiters around so he pushes cloud and the others to fuck things up. Now he has a chance
ah alright thx. i was trying to keep free from spoiler for as long as possible but that kinda suck but i understand why. i know the story is a little fucky because of the time jannie but is it that much different from the original?
>i was trying to keep free from spoiler for as long as possible
>is it that much different from the original
Nomura fucked everything already. This was supposed to be ff7 not kingdom hearts. Combat aside
But they don't know what their fate is
>there are people who played through this game that didnt realize aerith has knowledge of the future
now you cant say that nomura is too heavy handed
They are shown out of context visions of their fate like Aerith dying, Meteor hitting MIdgar and Red running around with his cubs in the future where humanity was wiped out. It definitely makes it look like a bad future.
Oh my God I love Advent children tifa so much
Ok but what do they change? And secondly Aerith dying was not shown.
