Why are jrpgs shit now? They used to be good

Jrpgs are moving into real time combat. It changes a lot. Technically FFXV did the most with pretty shitty characters because you were around them so much and you saw so much of them that you learnt to love them even though they werent developed throughout the story.
Nu-jrpgs are pretty kino and you should be embarrassed of your menu fetish.

1. Devs decided that turn-based games were no longer good enough so now they make their JRPGs half-RPG half-action while having neither the depth of a RPG or the depth of an action game.
2. Devs got scared of world maps

Japanese work culture is the problem.
They cater to people that don't have to time to play time consuming games, so they make them brain dead easy, introduce MTX/DLC that makes it EVEN EASIER so that fucking anyone can mindlessly mash through every counter and rehash the same old boring ass tropes in their anime cliche stories.
