How the fuck do I beat this guy

I think I fucked up somewhere along the way and missed important equipment. The best healing I have is Cura and I have no buffs. My only debuff is slow
This reminds me of when I used to play Pokemon as a kid and have every single move for every single pokemon set to an attack of some kind.
This fight is bullshit, as soon as he starts he inflicts literally every debuff in the game in your whole party in one swoop.
It's not like you need anything else to beat a Pokemon game.
While they've gotten easier, you still at least need type advantages for the more challenging fights.
What weapon does Zidane have?
No you don't. Just use one pokemon and you'll get super over levelled and you can one shot everything with a neutral hit
just because thats one of the most viable strats doesnt make it fun at all. What a braindead way to play the game lol, much rather build teams to balance off eachother. also always play set mode
Is it just me or does all the end game enemies get have fun? Stuff like freeze+crunch ko is kinda cheap.
That whole area is terrifying when I think about it.
Garnet - Vivi - Eiko - Zidane was my party
If you grinded, maybe. I've never grinded in a pokemon game before and I don't think you can take down all of the elite 4 with just one guy.

That was my party too. Pretty sure the only reason I beat the last 2 bosses was getting lucky auto-Phoenix procs multiple times
as a kid you can skirt by fine using sacrificial pokemon for revive or full restores

Did you never buy or synthesize weapons and ignore chocographs?
IIRC if you didnt get the chocograph weapon for garnet you can buy a weapon in black mage village that will give you curaga for dagger and eiko has a weapon inside memoria that gives it aswell as being able to buy one from the optional island daguerro

Never did anything of that. Usually I'm autistic when it comes to completing games but I wanted to try and enjoy this so I ignored every piece of side content

but you should still be able to do it
a laughable amount of 10/10 gear is locked behind chocograph treasures
Like you can get the oak staff immediately after leaving lindblum the first time which gives you Bio and hits for 900-1200 damage while bosses have like 3k-4k hp at that time
Also if you dont know pressing "select" while hovering over an item will give you details about the item
You might want to fool around with equipping some armor that gives elemental resistances
Also if you dont know about "rows" put your squishie casters in the back row so they take less physical damage
Shell would also help a good bit which can be learned from half a dozen items

Those things might be helpful, except you can't leave Memoria at this point so I'll just reset until I get lucky
dagger cant learn esuna, only eiko so thats not on you atleast
Eiko is a much better healer than Dagger but I never want to swap her in by the time I get her
Also is a pain catching up on abilities to learn
If you can back out to the world map you can get a fuckton of AP from friendly monster encounters though to try and learn some new abilities
ID 100% reccoment trying to get the built in immunities like jelly/clearheaded/antibody/etc
Also Necron counts as a flying enemy so "bird killer" ability deals extra damage to him
Beat it my first time with Zidane Vivi Eiko Amarant. Trance Aura is literally a life saver
