is the ff7 remake project gonna ensure we don't get this for at least 10 or so years?

who cares it will be shit regardless
idk I thought the FF7 remake was gr8. Granted I haven't played the OG game but I figured this version is better anyways
of course you figured that because you're a retard
I'm fine with the VII universe hijacking the series for the next decade, though I really don't want to have to wait that long to see the completed story. The FF series since X has been varying degrees of mediocre, so I'm perfectly happy just hanging out in the world that I know I like for a while.
Isn't YoshiP taking control of FF16 with a whole new team? Means Nomura/Kitase would have nothing to do with it.
Honestly I dont care as long as its not Nomura
It would be nice if they made a proper turn-based game again (combat that builds on X) but SE's management probably believes that only action games will sell the numbers they want.
I keep saying that the big mistake Final Fantasy keeps making as a franchise is trying to be a fuckhuge world-shaking event every time. XIII had all of that Fabulosa Crysallum Motherfuckus bullshit, part of it had to splinter off into becoming XV, which itself had a worldwide announcement for its release date and shittons of side stuff (the anime shorts, a CG movie, ect).
I get the impression that SE kinda has Final Fantasy marked for the super-crazy spectacle bullshit they love doing. Dragon Quest is where they stick to just making solid traditional RPGs, and hell, Bravely is apparently not too far a cry from where FF used to be, either. They don't see FF as needing to fill that "just make a decent fucking game" role, since they have it covered elsewhere, basically. It's a shame.
Feels like Square-Enix's marketing department keeps half of Japan employed.
>It would be nice if they made a proper turn-based game again
Given how FF7R's combat system has been generally well-received, I doubt that'll happen. Especially when they have several other IPs that use turn-based.
YFW it's another MMO
Watch, XVI will be related to XIV.
Is that an official logo or fan made?
>tfw you have to have played ff14 to understand the plot
That would be based
They've been doing this shit since OG FF7, its not stopping anytime soon
15 already did that. You mouth breathing retards that will be literally anything with Cloud on it is whats gonna keep them fuckers churning out ff7 for the next 8 years. Nobody ever said it was a trilogy
The reason these manchild 30-something boomers think OG FF7 is so great is because of nostalgia.
Pay them no mind. You played the superior version. Nobody that has no built-in nostalgia will play OG FF7 today and be as impressed with it as people back in 1997. Hell, some might not even be able to play it altogether because of how dated it is.
I'd rather deal with turn based combat if that means that the next Final fantasy game will have a coherent plot, an interesting and mature story, great characters and a big world map to explore filled with secret areas, towns and dungeons, just like in the golden age of Final fantasy.
You people do realize we won't get to see the end of FF7R in at least 20 years right?
Imagine playing and enjoying a game with shitty anime acting and story and thinking you're superior to anyone.
this cope
This
Every one keeps saying 3, but more likely like 10 parts. Next game will end after Juno boat ride, and they still wont have a world map until the 7th or 8th one
what turned Yas Forums into overdramatic childish retards
I hope so Square Enix doesn't seem like they enjoy making games anymore. Thanks to the autist that is Nomura every game that has been released this past decade has gone through some sort of developmental hell.
After seeing those emo faggots for a decade and now the whole remake making place for another, are there any good alternatives to FF?
user, Square isn't coming back. Let go.
It was Wada's fault mostly. If he was still calling the shots FFVII:R would still be unreleased. Unapologetic greenlighting yesman dipshit
> Imagine playing and enjoying a game with shitty anime acting and story and thinking you're superior to anyone
> Implying the original wasn't an anime story
> Shitty anime acting
> Well yeah duh, it was a PS1 game. It had the worst localization of all time though.
>emo fags for a decade
>only nu-FF has shitty soiboy emo faggot protags1!!!!!11!!!!!
you guys are actually fucking delusional
>muh tech demo
kill yourself
