I hope that concept art is real. Naoki Yoshida said that he hopes the setting for 16 has zero sci fi elements and is more classical fantasy.

I hope there aren’t 0 sci fi elements and that it’s just reduced to the level of older games.
he's a has been and hasn't done anything of worth since FF12.
Just accept that he's gone.
What if Junji Ito is the director of 16.
>directed by Ito and Yoshida
>written by Matsuno
>it's a Baldur's Gate-style CRPG set in a new original setting by Matsuno
I hope this is the case but I know it won't happen.
>faggots unironically want Yoshida "WoWfag" Naoki
Jesus he apes one shit game and adds a FF skin and you praise him. You do realize the only reason FFXIV is even praised is cause of Soken, Oda in ARR/HW and Ishikawa in SB/ShB. You know what you get with Yoshida? Minion Farms and Diadem/Eureka paired with iLvl systems. You best hope they get a better designer with Ishikawa for the story and Soken for the music.
him and his team are the reason SE still exists as a company today
source?
>apes WoW and all his in-game brain children are badly recieved
>unironically wanting him when the real muscle are other members of the team
Take the muscle and leave the fat then. Remember Tanaka fucking made XI one of the most beloved MMOs during its time and then lost all the goodwill by being associated with 1.0. Yoshida isn't safe nor is he any different, if anything he's like Steve Jobs in the sense that Wozniak is doing the work but he became the face. You say Ito, Soken and Ishikawa are working on XVI then you have something.
He made a WoWclone. Financially he is a respectable businessman but creatively he's bankrupt if Eureka is anything to go by after 4 instances and his reboot of Diadem. The man can only copy, Oda and Ishikawa are the real golden gooses of that game.
So long as he isn't in charge of designing the main protagonist, that would entirely be a major plus for the aesthetic.
I said his team for a reason user
I thought Kitase was the director of VI?
Akihiko Yoshida designed Vaan
>anons forgetting that Tanaka was just like Yoshi with MMO praise
>thinking he isnt going to meet the same fate
Jesus you guys are building the next Tanaka/Nomura
Fuck Yoshi.
Yoshi is the producer, not the director.
Tanaka refused to look at other games. He had a goal in mind and ignored the rest of the world.
Yoshida is constantly playing other games and making his team play other shit. That's the difference.
well then either we get a great FF game, or we get to watch SE crash and burn to the ground, its a win-win
>Alisaie got gobbled up by diaperfags
Based Ryne
>Making an mmo is the same as making a single player games.
Fucking retard. Please use your brain before you start spewing your retardation all over the place.
And Nojima, Nomura, Kitase and Toriyama hasn't made anything of worth since X. Guess he wins.
That's literally ff's problem. It's been copying mainstream garbage for 20 years
Seeing how 7 turned out it will be bad.
>waifufaggotry
>swearing
>anime garbage
>shit graphics
i mean to be fair, the main story in XIV is practically a single player campaign
>Main line FF goes back to being good while the 4 horseman of the shitpocalypse are busy with aping Anno with the Remake.
Having to design a game around a subscription model and making content last for the addicted freaks that refuse to play other games is not the same as making a contained single player game.
I felt a surge in my heart reading that. I haven't felt genuine hope about FF since playing FFX.
If the game was judged as a Single Player it'd be one of the worst Single Players to date. Story is mediocre at best and the only reason it shines among other MMOs. I dont understand why people put this producer on a pedestal when SE has time and time again proven priased producers always sputter out and end up being shit since they only catch lightning in a bottle once.
