Yes. Week trial + online starting next week as well as a discount to buy the game.
the only "timed" content is the Splatfests and literally all they were were pallet swaps. You really aren't missing out.

Well in all fairness you can’t get far on pirated games since they lock their content behind online content updates. So, for example, you can’t really play pirated animal crossing
