How did Square Enix do it?

>fastest-selling PS4 exclusive is a remake

what a sorry state the industry is in

>fastest-selling PS4 exclusive is actually a good game

because they finally remade the game people were asking for since the ps3 tech demo.

Ok now put it on PC. Not gonna bother with any game at 30 fps in 2020.

It's 60fps

Great job. You've encouraged the behaviour of slicing an old game into fragments with superficial padding being sold full price

It's one of the most popular and well known games in video game history. Even people who never played the original know what this is.
Are you implying that they did something right? No way. They cashed in on a product guaranteed to make money.

I wonder if it would encourage Sony to re-visit some of it's older IPs. Like Dark Cloud and Legend's of Dragoon.

To be fair it would take an enormous amount of effort to get one of the most popular games of all time, even between dudebros, remake it and not have it sell well. Especially in these times.

> how did Square do it?

with False Advertisment, you wouldn't believe the amount of normies that thought they were getting the full game.

I know people who still think this. When they ask me why I dont like it they are completely oblivious when I start talking about time ghosts and shit. It's mass denial on a horrifying soi consumer level.

Would be cool to have a Legend of Dragoon remake

Honestly I will never ask for a remake again. This has been a lesson for everyone. Learn to appreciate what you have or risk it being raped.

I would actually say it's a sorry state the PS4 is in.

it's coming to pc after the paid exclusivity ends

i mean how would you make an active battle system with legend of dragoons timing system?

a visual remaster yeah id be game

I also know multiple people who know this is only the first part, but they wholeheartedly believe all the remaining parts will be released this year.

>bragging about Nintendo's Farmville soccer mom bait selling well
Nintentrannies keep reaching new lows

easy

This is false though. GoW and spiderman numbers were sell through not shipped like Ff

Doesn't matter. Publisher selling physical copies to stores is still an overall sale for them. Why barry is spamming FF15 5mil 3 days shipped as brick and mortar stores overbought the game and had tons just sitting on shelves forever.

It's likely that sold in is very high for VII REMAKE, specially digitally

Why?

All combos have very specific pause windows.

Sales don't equal success.
Buyer's remorse is burning everywhere and square are rushing to put out those flames.

It's 30 with occasional drops.

>PS4 exclusive
Only for a year, I love my PS4 but you can't call something an exclusive if it's still being released on other platforms even if it's a year later

By being so unbearably shit that your mediocre not-really-remake-sequel is better than any other shit you've released in recent memory. If anything, I hope Nomura seethes harder and fucks it up even more with his fanfic editor ghosts when he realizes nobody cares about his KH series and the FF7 remake sequel surpasses KH in appeal alone.
