Did you do all of the sidequests yet? There are a few here and there you can't do until after you've found someone. There are a lot so you might have to use a guide to point you in the right direction.

Floating Continent is point of no return for the world as you know it, only missables are Mog’s water dance and iirc a couple or Gau’s rages.
Someone can permanently die at the end of the Floating Continent if you choose not to wait for them.

There’s no missable side quests aside from a minor one involving the dying soldier in Mobliz which gives you an item you can get later.

The game becomes less linear after the floating continent but as long as you talk to the people in each town you’ll know everything, I was surprised at all the hints they give you for things I thought were more hidden when I was younger.

Amnesia Dark Descent and I'm getting tired. It should have ended already. I escaped through a well to a high level of building and I met Agrippa and I have to look for orb pieces. There's this place with a stone bridge that I have to cros but there's a servant there and it's not possible to not get noticed because bridge is well lit. I have a piece of meat in inventory so I suspect O should use it to distract servant but I don't know how because there doesn't seem to be any object to use meat on.
