Backhop from shielded stance is garbage. You get guard slash if your stick positioning is even a bit off. Shield bash is insanely easy to activate during the spiral slash rotations, that shit should be on its own input, maybe replace the guard slash with it since that garbage is useless. The last hit of triangle combo is so bad i have no idea why it exists, did they really just keep it to have a noob trap in combo or something?

Kulve herself is fine as a fight outside of the fact that she can inexplicably drain all of my stamina when I shield against some moves but I agree the 20 minute timer is retarded. This isn't a siege so there's no reason they should impose that timer or enable her to run from an event slay quest. Fuck son I had her cancel me out of my mount once just so she could run 15 minutes into the fight.

Aight so I burnes 12k fuel and upped my defense up to like 970. Am I still in OHKO territory from MR Kulve Taroth? I know that World and Iceborne have diminishing returns on defense so people can be OHKO'd by tempered elders at 1100 defense.

Had this happen where I was the only survivor. Everyone else got killed by the giant gold splash, and we would have failed if I didn't eat for safeguard. It took me one tiny poke to kill her right after. Poor dudes, we did pretty well up til then too. Reminder to never get greedy no matter how flawless the hunt is going.

Kulve doesn't have a OHKO, even as a gunner, that you can properly defend against (lava puke).
You'll get bodied by a couple of tail attacks due to the retarded hitboxes, but that's all.
