they'll make a spinoff that's sci-fi dark souls with an armored core skin.
Let's hope not. Souls is objectively superior, it would be a waste of their time, money and talent to work on this stupid weeb garbage.
(You)
i have accepted we will never see a quality AC game again...mecha just ins't profitable right now
:(
i miss customizable robot games
>seven years

It was all AgeTec talent, so hopefully From picks them up again. Or at the least, they go indie.
bump to pay respect VD is my favorite
are 4 and for answer any good?
Yes, they're pretty >fast and have really fun customization. Definitely worth it, if you seek something fresh after 10 million gen3 games
ok thanks I get them for like 3$ dollars each.
How do I get into VD? I played the shit out of 4A but this one just confuses me.
General opinion of daemon x machina?
hope not
core designs after 2 are fucking dumb
They churned these out like once a year for 15 years and then after VD they just stopped. It's really kind of sad. AC wasn't a huge part of my life but it was always there, there was always some new AC title on the horizon, and now it's just gone.
If only they port all the armored core games on pc ;_;
Try out the leg types again, remember to jump boost off of walls and that scan mode has higher energy regen. try out the gatling guns. If you absolutely cant stay alive, use a shield.
Well recieved, but its not exactly the same thing, still fun though.
Maybe if some anime makes mechas cool again.
I'd love a mix between AC, Front Mission and Titan Fall.
But I'd be happy with just another AC with better graphics and better controls.
After the pile of shit that was ACV, I fucking hope not.
God I hope so
Would be funny if Miyazaki decided to lead development for a new AC game and it turned out to be incredible, then other games/anime jumped on the trend, ushering in a new golden age of mecha.
That does sound good
>cores-like
Sounds very good.
Supplice is the pinnacle of AC design, fight me.
It wouldn't be profitable and the fanbase will just continue calling every game that isn't Nexus, Last Raven or Masters of the Arena shit. The same people that pretend they prefer the hand cramp, crab grip gameplay from 1 and 2.
Worst thing is you can't even enjoy other mecha games once you experienced Armored Core. The series being dead means to me this genre is dead, and it was barely alive in the past.
I still enjoy stuff like ZoE or that Code Hardcore demo
They can all be emulated perfectly.
DxM was alright but missing shit like an arena and PvP that wasn't filled with cheaters. I just want From to put some of the games on PC, at least 4 to VD.
Only 4 and 4A deserves to be ported from that era.
Not bad but bland and very easy.
I felt disappointed given how hard Switch owners hyped it back then.
It will never happen because people of all countries, ages and nationalities hate mecha or find it retarded and infantile; only a few greasy nerds like it.
Switch owners didn't have much else.
I see.
Don't get me wrong, I genuinely enjoyed it but I expected something far better.
Im developping a mecha game.
Shits hard brehs
I highly doubt that the Armored Core games from the PS360 era can even be emulated well enough to work let alone playable from start to finish. The other games sure but 4 to Verdict Day is not going to work.
Not riling up a console war, just saying when first trailers came out the system didn't have much. When it finally released, the system had way more games. Astral Chain also came out like a month or so before and soaked up all the sales.
If you can go fast??
4 and fA definitely can be emulated, although I'd hardly say perfectly
youtube.com
verdict day is fully playable in rpcs3
If there is no custom, it's a bad mecha game.
If you see more human faces than mechas, it's a bad mecha game.
DxM looks like a dumbed down Armored Core with too much anime shit.
ZoE is anime BTA with a mecha skin, Titanfall is CoD with some mechas, Hawken is killzone 3 with mecha skin, Lost Planet is a generic TPS with few meh mecha segments.
Steel Battalion and Chrome Hounds were closer to what I expect a mecha game to be, but they felt like legged-tanks simulators.
Other mecha games, that actually feel like mecha games, aren't as good as AC.
