Meh, once you get over the novelty of 3D games and porn you realize it's still a gimmick and go back to normal gaming

It is worth it if you want to get in on the ground floor of something that is immersive and fun but also weird and janky and will inevitably become ruined when more normies get into it.

Depends on you, some people give zero fucks about immersion and fiddling with stuff and just want to play the same game they've been playing for the past 20 years but with shinier graphics and more automated systems. VR isn't for that sort.

For gaming? no
For porn? Hell yes

It's not gonna be getting any good games anytime soon so you might as well hold on to 202X

For me VR needs to have the following
>Wireless
>Full body tracking
>Face tracking
After that it will be perfect for my use. A rig with the following (minus face tracking, only eye tracking) costs about $4000 in my country

VR mods are coming out for more & more games
Doom 3 is fantastic in VR now, and it works flawlessly

More the reason to get in it now while it's still young, VR is in it's Web 1.0 phase.

For sure. I predict future Oculus products will have heavy social media integration that can't be turned off and they'll market it as a safe social distance option. Get a headset now and enjoy the final days of weirdos in VR chat and janky but novel Unity games made by solo devs.

Can comfirm, i rarely play vr nowadays. But personally i would say it was still worth it buying vr for me. Vr is not the next step in gaming, it's just an interesting take on gaming that is fun from time to time. But after you had it for one year or so it gets a bit boring

Honestly though, I still roll with the CV1. That might be cheaper to get for a starting headset.

Any recommendations for VR games? Ive got alyx, boneworks, pavlov and rec room. Love them all but want something new. Are any of those god games good? VR seems perfect for the genre

Blade & Sorcery is hte best melee game so far, and there's a big update coming in around a month.
Beat Saber is obviously super entertaining.
SUPERHOT is great too.
