Where do you even go now?

The party literally just fought the greatest SOLDIER and possibly the strongest single entity to ever exist, and they jumped into a break in the in the space-time continuum to do so. How is this snake supposed to be a threat? How are we supposed to have build up for Seph as an antagonist? How the fuck is Cloud supposed to show growth now that he is basically able to stand toe to toe with him already?

It turns into a dating VN trying to win best boy's heart

What the fuck happened to Rufus anyway? He's just a business man, pretty ruthless, but still just some dude. Now he is using a shotgun to dash around like Albert Wesker with 50 belts on.

Well his dad is Skullface now so some time janitor (probably a fujo) fucked up and made the Shinra family gigachads

Attached: 1568410863950.webm (1280x720, 2.1M)

They never fought anything as big as zolomy yet, not counting the head janitor who was mostly fought via proxy. The snake will still be a threat. Sephiroth less so, but they still didn't blow their loads on his transformations.

everything must be super duper cool now

Insert one line from Cloud:
"He was toying with us."
Boom. You have your anime excuse. "He was such a hard and epic final boss fight, and he was only toying with us! Imagine how terrifying he'll be when he gets SERIOUS!"
standard fucking anime copout, not difficult at all

Yeah this. Or Sephiroth absorbs science/mana/energy.

>the snake will be a threat
>sephiroth less so
whoa... so this is... the power ... of cope...?

This doesn't explain away how Cloud was able to cut entire buildings apart of basically fly through the wreckage. They went full Advent Children in the end but forgot that AC came after the events of the OG game where the team was at their strongest, lending a least a bit of believability to the dumb shit they do in that movie.

Don't even need to use an excuse. Sephiroth WANTED them to win, because the "Sephiroth" they fought was really the Whispers, just covered in Jenova illusions to look like Sephiroth. He literally explodes into dead time jannies at the end. Sephiroth was just using the party to help kill his enemies.

Someone just post the quote about how “Sephiroth is supposed to be like the horror movie monster” in the original already.

Only autists like you see everything as either perfect or a complete disaster. Zero nuance in your broken brain. Go fuck yourself.

its going to swap tracks and have a completely different storyline with different characters, get ready for fucking Xehanort to show up

Well, he's a faggot now, so that's close enough.

Did you even play FFVII? Aerith literally says that nobody's ever seen Rufus cry or bleed and Barret says he's been assigned away from Midgar for a long time if you talk to them before going outside to meet him. The implication is he's been off doing something more hands on and he's dangerous. He's young and associated with the Turks, so he's suitably in their kind of league of strength and the best of the bunch.

He was always a badass.

you do realize that the sephiroth in ff7 remake IS advent children sephiroth?
he literally went back in time to this game.

Next game will probably be until Cosmo Canyon.

>The party literally just fought the greatest SOLDIER and possibly the strongest single entity to ever exist
Wow they really did bring back Gackt?

seethe copester lad
your remake is absolute trash with zero nuance
cope and then fuck off and die

they won’t have to bother. the game’s coming out years later, and you won’t have the high stakes of the ending at the forefront of your mind unless you replay it on purpose.

Also who’s to say they’ll even have the Midgar Zolom?

Sephiroth was half power. Or it was just an illusion.

If no one has seen him bleed, it's probably not because he's a badass.

This level of angry xbox kid autism can only come from Barry.

The rope is over there.

Did you bother to read the post? Even assuming that the Sephiroth time travel theories are true- and I suspect they are- that doesn't explain the actions and abilities of the protagonists in the climax.

i don't know that specific post but i've always seen him as a kind of unhinged jason-like slasher in a pretty animeboy skin, he's even got the fucking mommy issues. there was always a ominus buildup over him, like the line of bodies or never being seen outside of short glimpses; and for him to show up and do everything short of sucking cloud off really zaps that tension away.
the remake should have focused more on making him seem completely fucking insane, not some generic mastermind anime villain

>he was just a projection
>he was going easy on us
>he was weakened
>he gets a powerup
they don't give a fuck about this story, they can pull anything out of their ass that they want

It wasn't actually Sephiroth. Thought that was pretty obvious.

Cope cope
Cope cope cope seethe cope
Cope

Cope

If Sephiroth is so strong why couldn’t he defeat his enemies himself?
Doesn’t it say something that the party could defeat something even Sephiroth couldn’t? The fact that he needed help deflates his entire character being some unstoppable force into a silly 4D chess villain like Kefka.

Sephiroth was never trying to kill Cloud. He was just testing him like Vader does with Luke. The Advent Children building cutting shit can be waved away by saying it was an alternate reality where nothing matters. He can't do any of that shit in the real world.

Midgar Zolom will be a boss.

Man even as someone who more or less loves the Remake I have to admit that the ending is fairly indefensible. Even completely ignoring the plot implications, the sheer spectacle and lack of restraint has set a very dangerous precedent that will be almost impossible to follow in a believable way. The game already struggled with some issues of tonal whiplash, but having the final boss of the FIRST installment be against the literal manifestation of fate, the PLANETS own defense against divergent timelines, will make it so hard to believe something like Midgarzolom is a threat. If you want to talk about zero nuance Remakes ending is a perfect example

If you had a brain you would already know that it wasn't Sephiroth they were fighting, because the game literally shows you that it was really just the Whispers. But stupid zoomers like you are unable to pay attention and too vapid to come to the intended conclusions unless it's spelled out to you by the characters.

Here's a tip about how fiction often works: a character's physical strength is often directly proportional to their emotional state.

obviously you just start at level 1 again in the next game and your clear file from part 1 unlocks a costume and an additional scene at the end of the game,

they should have done the leveling dothack style. 4 parts, 25 levels a part.

The fact is there will never be a conclusion to the new story. If there was, they would tell us how many parts it would be. It is literally nothing but a cash grab dependant on how many games people are willing to keep buying, and they will modify their story based on that alone

I think a good place to end it would be Nibelheim. Call it FFVII Reunion. Start with the flashback and end with another Sephiroth fight in Nibelheim.

>Aerith literally says that nobody's ever seen Rufus cry or bleed

I can't believe ESL posters still don't realize that line was about Sephiroth, the guy who just left his huge fucking katana in the back of the president

Sephiroth couldn't defeat his enemies himself because he's stuck in a crystal in the crater just like the original game, dumbass.

The Sephiroth that shows up at the Shinra building is just one of those shambling numbered Sephiroth clones, made to look like Sephiroth through Jenova-induced illusions. All bark and no bite, basically.

Maybe we'll start at 50 next game and the level cap will go up to 200 in the final game. I don't know what they're gonna do about magic though because we already obtain the highest level magic in part one.

I dont think Sephiroth is going to be the last boss in the next game

That entire segment where he leads Cloud through illusionary fire was a stall.
His goal right then and there was to prevent Aerith and Cloud from ever even meeting, by leading Cloud down some winding alleys and distracting him with nonsensical bullshit about the two of them saving the planet.

Then those meddling time jannies and their fucking dog foiled his plans by forcing Aerith to stay in the area until Cloud finally did show up.
But Sephiroth, never one to be deterred by things such as fate or making players content with getting the same thing as always, tried to switch up tactics and tried to apply some cryptic warning to Cloud about this girl he just met that makes it sound like she's going to suffer if she hangs around him. Without outright telling him she'll straight up be killed, otherwise the jannies might NOOOOOOOOO him away like they did Hojo.

After that it's just Sephiroth spending an entire game manipulating Cloud and implanting visions of Aerith's death into Cloud's head with the Jenova cells in Cloud's body.

Look Cloud.
This girl dies Cloud.
You're probably responsible. Don't you think?
7 seconds buddy.
7 seconds is how long you have.
Because that's how long it takes the other me to drop from the heavens and ram my big long rod deep into her quivering womb.
All you need to do is save her, Cloud. SEVEN SECONDS CLOUD.

Because if Aerith lives, then Sephiroth wins. That's what he's trying to set up. Because this sephiroth is from the future, as evidenced by the black Advent Children wing and the fact that advent children music plays during that first encounter and literally nowhere else.

>theres only one shitposter on Yas Forums, the second most popular board on Yas Forums
wow. youre as bad as the fag youre replying to, dumbass.

>I can't believe ESL posters still don't realize that line was about Sephiroth
Yeah. Tifa, Barret, and Red XIII's lines are all explicitly about Rufus. And then Aerith is for some reason talking about Sephiroth when no one else is. That makes total sense bro. Call me ESL again, it's worked the last two weeks you've been doing it.

>possibly the strongest single entity to ever exist
Minerva, Ruby Weapon, Emerald weapon and Omega are all capable of curb stopping Sephiroth.
Also Sephiroth wasn't in his final form

That wasn't even his final form

None of the late game magic from the original is in the remake yet. No Comet, no Contain, no Ultima, Shield, Fullcure, any of the late game summons, etc.

There's plenty of room to expand on magic in the sequels. Many midgame materia are also missing, like Gravity and Earth.

Plus you'll obviously lose all your magic at the start of part 2 and have to re-obtain it. Yuffie probably steals your materia at the start of the game.

Wrong boy

I don't think you realize how much time Barry spends posting here every day, or how recognizable his bullshit is.

theyll invent new suffixes. ff11 or 12 introduced the -ja spells and kh3 introduced the -za spells. maybe they can add some prefixes too to REALLY show its a different spell

It will be four parts. You get your level 1 limits out of 4 levels, 4 out of 16 of Clouds original weapons, 4 out of 16 original summons.

holy shit this looks so stupid
this looks so fucking stupid jesus fucking christ i cannot cope with it

Attached: 1571257950344.png (352x371, 168.61K)

Blizzaza lol

God, Aerith is so beautiful. Will I ever find a wife as beautiful as she is?

We will fight Sephiroth every game. Don't be stupid.

The Weapons couldn't even get through the barrier Sephiroth put up around the crater. They were summoned to defeat him and couldn't do shit. Minerva and Omega are non-canon now, thankfully. Anything really stupid from the spinoffs wasn't included in the remake.

Did you even play the fucking game? It wasn't even Sephiroth they fought.
