Why is Bethesda still using the Creation Engine?

It has been confirmed that they will use it for the new games (ES6 and Starfield), realistically they don't actually improve it or make a new one out of greediness or there is something more?

make your own if you need it that much, also patch my game for me, bitch

Bethesda trannies

>still no ladder climbing on this engine
lmao

Why change anything when idiots lap up your shit regardless?

desu I think that its mostly this

What makes you think Bethesda would be any more competent with a new engine?

it has been confirmed they are completely changing the animation and physics systems which are what 99% of the complaints about the "engine" are about.

and they are updating the engine to support photogrammetry and third party tech to render massive landmasses.

Bethesda does these things because they're the sole occupant of their genre niche and therefore do not have to compete.
Actually the only ones they're competing with are modders.

They'd probably be worse. Imagine them trying to train all their apes with a new engine after over a decade of knowing nothing but duct-taped gamebryo

>Bethesda
>trannies
fuck off

>old engine bad

It's really, really expensive to make new engine for tes/fo-type of games. And after that you'll have to retrain everyone or expect andromeda 2.0.

People who make threads like this must think switching engines is as easy as switching pants.

Open world RPGs are one of the most saturated genres in the AAA space today.

>"why doesn't betheshit change engines"
>Bethesda changes engines
>modding gets massively crippled
>"wtf where the mods why didn't betheshit stick with creation engine"

oh my god you're a complete fucking retard, never reply to my posts ever again
>Shadow of Mordor
Holy shit dude, holy shit

>he thinks modding won't be crippled deliberately to ensure Creation Club gains a foothold
ahahaaa

it's absolutely possible to add ladder climbing, bethesda is just too retarded and lazy

how would modding be crippled?

The Shadow of Mordor/War games are very popular among the normie audience. They're open world fantasy RPGs in direct competition with Skyrim. I think you are the retard. Just because people don't talk about it on 4chins doesn't mean it doesn't sell to normies.

Many ways, probably the easiest is to just drag their asses on releasing the tools like CDPR did

mods can be made without the creation kit.

Moonpath to Elsweyr was about the best you could do with Skyrim modding pre-Creation Kit.

Tippity top jej. Nobody is playing Shadow of Mordor past the first 10 hours. Meanwhile Skyrim has been rerealeased 5 times because normies won't stop buying it

Thanks for the asinine observation but simple texture swaps aren't that interesting

>defending MtE
MtE was shit, fucktard.

Are you retarded, he's not defending that at all

The creation engine COULD be improved and modernized, Bethesda just doesn't care. They're too lazy to simplify NPCs down so that the engine can handle more than 3 within a mile. If you think Bethesda would be any better with a different engine, look at how lazy they are with the tools they're given, having modders fix their games.

>MtE was shit
That's his point, fucktard. Mods without the creation kit are all fucking terrible

This. Skyrim is the quintessential babbeys first RPG.

None of these have the capability of moding like elder scrolls

Stop replying to idiot consolebabs

delaying the creation kit only hurts creation club too then.

BOTW is getting there, I will give them credit. We're at the point where we now have entirely custom items and there's been a few proof of concept custom dungeons.

They've already got a gaggle of defectors from the community who will help beta-test the creation kit during the first year
private beta test :^)
