Borderlands 2 has a BIT of cringy normie humour in it, but I still think the writing was mostly good. Borderlands 3 is just trash writing through and through.

haven't played it yet but in bl2 i would often just mute or turn off voices and have some other shit play in the background
was hoping the same could be done in 3

BL2 is the more tolerable. 2 had some terrible fucking characters like Tiny Tina, but story itself never got as shockingly bad as it did in 3.
