Their main writer has fucked off, and it feels through the game. It is generally better than Sea in most aspects, but there's nothing that even comes close to Salt's song in it. Hidden ambition is merely okay, but nothing more than that.

There's really nothing else like it. Even other settings with great lore don't compare.
Nothing beats hallucinating someone else's memories so hard you start to project people from their life onto their counterparts in your own. As above, so below.

care to elaborate in a few words pls? I am ESL and game was really hard to understand. I really liked the atmosphere and gameplay, but missed plot for the most part. Same with sunless skies btw. Also i only did a "become rich" ending and lost interest to play further. same with sunless skies. It kinda becomes really easy when you get the top ship from trade hustle.

It's probably most boring part of both games, you barely saw anything. Even if you don't care about other shit you should at least do the quest of redhead woman first officer in Sea, it's genuinely awesome.

The themes are good but the writing is typical tumblr trash. Literally everybody is trying to be as vague as they can possibly be.

You know, as much as I might disagree, that criticism might have even meant something if it had come from someone who was capable of articulating a simple point without resorting to buzzwords.

Basically
The Bazaar in London is a giant space crab who tried to romance The Sun, but got rejected, so The Bazaar hires The Masters (Space Bats) to gather love stories so it can seduce The Sun, for which purpose they enslave cities so they can try to manufacture love stories.

But there are a lot of other factors that interact with that main plot thread like devils, Salt, etc. And of course it gets expanded on in Sunless Skies.

Someone give me a summary of the plot of Sunless Skies because I quit before even leaving the first region.

I really like Fallen London but Sunless Sea and Skies are just too slow for me
