Fate was always pretentious edgy shit but at least it was a niche and it was understandable if someone was a big fan.
Now it's literally mostly about collecting jpgs of your waifus drawn by shitty artists in shitty style and play a shitty mobile game with shitty combat.
Not to mention they took single unique trait of the original story, which was twist that Saber was female King Arthur and now genderswap every fucking second historical character. And always it makes no sense.
While Artur is a legendary european warrior, so a blonde white slightly muscular female is an alright change, changing for example fucking Nero into a big tiddy blondie Saber clone with butt-cleavage dress is completely retarded. Not to mention the twist was done to serve the story, it was about a role that Artoria had to take, regardless of her sex.
I won't even comment on shit like Thomas Edison Servant etc. It goes to the point where "remotely known person" is a servant and not a "legendary being from myths and legends" like it was supposed to be.

It brought in writers(Namely Sakurai) and exaberated bad ideas that just trashed Nasus most interesting concept. It hurts it majorly as well that it has this huge cast of Servants but most of them are not memorable let alone figures you give a rats ass about. To have like 50+ of them in a "game" but still not covering concepts like Archer Hercules or Arcueid is just tiresome and shows how much of an unpleasing waste of time it's trying to be.
And to add on to its blame it's also the reason we got shit like Extella and Apocrypha that just take a dump in the lore and what's possible with eyeroll marysue bullshit.

Nothing Type Moon and Nasu have/has produced was ever really good, it was always 3deep5me typical 2000s anime edge like Gen Urobuchi and the like, it just struck a chord with pretentious weebs. He always tries to talk about these "deep" topics but you can easily tell his understanding of them is ankle deep at most. He was just there at the rigth place at the right time and since he is Japanese, weebs will eat up his literal shit and praise it as philosophical achievements on the level of Hegel and Habermas.

The only good fate game was Fate/Extra CCC anyway.
