Will it ever be topped as the GOAT Yu-Gi-Oh! Game?
I've never played another of this genre, I wish there were more. >Terrain effects and manipulation >Deck becomes units like in fire emblem etc. >Deck master has unique effect like leaders in wargroove >Unique effects in the form of spells and trap cards that work like spells/ gambits in Fire Emblem Hands down the coolest blending of genres.
The game was clearly unfinished and was beyond jank, but it was supremely fun. I would sacrifice all of my neighbors and their children if it meant we'd get DOTR2 with a far more complete roster of cards and a significantly larger amount of AI decks and online multiplayer.
Great game, too bad the variety on effects left much to be desired and equip cards were broken beyond all reason.
Benjamin Moore
it wasn't even the GOAT yugioh game back then, who tricked you into thinking that
Brandon Fisher
Equips are strong against AI, but that's just because the AI is retarded. If it was PvP, they'd be pitifully weak. Too many ways to hose individual monsters for you to want to stack swords on them.

Name 3 gorillion games better user
Nathan Murphy
can someone sum up the rule? i want to create DoTR fan game
Oliver Fisher
What would you change in a sequel?
Jackson Peterson
>tfw no comfy Yugioh dungeon crawler We got Falsebound Kingdom instead, and now all Konami does is adapt the card game over and over
>Deck Leader abilities are not hidden behind a 30-hour grindwall for no reason >More cards, but don't break the system >Significantly more battles. Either it can be giving present opponents alternate decks to fight with, or simply making more opponents >Full-retard fake cards like Riryoku aren't in the code in the slightest, not even for endgame superbosses >Significantly more support for under-defined types and attributes (Pyro got fucking nothing, several types are just fodder at best) >Fusion Forecast
Leo Harris
talk about that i still surprise that there isnt any DoTR fangame yet
Jackson Nguyen
Falsebound Kingdom was my shit
Mason Parker
fake cards?
Jonathan Bell
Oh you fuckers. Now I remeover Capsule Monster Colosseum. That is the best of the 3.
Henry Richardson
Cards that are impossible to acquire outside of action replay or other cheat/hack software.
>Reduces opponent's LP by half and adds the reduced amount to the powers of all monsters.
This card is only accessible by the final boss (both versions) and no amount of graveyard roulette changes that. This card is fucking obscene and full-retard, but when it enters the game, it's literally only a "Broken boss horseshit" card, not a card that is meant to be used in any deck whatsoever.
I don't see how that makes it a fake card. But yeah, it is bullshit that the card exists and is only available to the AI. The burn damage alone is nuts. You can play the card yourself if you destiny draw it, but there are a lot of limitations surrounding that.
Adam Harris
>Play this as a kid >Generic duel theme for both campaigns and the Free Duel theme are fucking fantastic >Be too shit to reach the end of either campaign >Eventually hear the Yugi/Kaiba/Final Boss duel themes >They're boring, bland tracks that I forgot the moment I turned them off Never seen a video game frontload its music like that before.
wgat do you think we are? of course i'm going to make it until i get bored and drop it
Michael Price
same.DOTR was fun and balanced the use of board game with the card game
Chase Stewart
there's too many cards nowadays, and most cards rely so much on archetypes, they'll have to change their effects to make it work for a dungeon crawler
Elijah Davis
It'd be feasible if you made it in Tabletop Simulator. I'm sure Yu-Gi-Oh cards are already modded in, all you'd need to do is add a grid and Deck Masters.
James Ramirez
Loved the music in the game, a lot of the tracks were in previous ones but I liked the versions from this game the most. I liked the mechanics but I can tell it's not a balanced game. I think the AI should be improved, there were points in the game where they cornered themselves too easily.
Isaiah Butler
>Tabletop Simulator well, it do have throught youtu.be/wxMqB5flc9g Its just my autist dont like it
Tyler Brown
they could always make it like MMH III, where you can choose house (archtype), and capture house of enemy
>Konami will never make anything but the laziest shit possible ever again >they will never sell the IPs due to constant cashflow just from namebrand
Grayson Barnes
Duelist of the Roses was jank and worse than memory serves most, but had fun and unique mechanics that deserved to be explored and polished in future games. It had soul. Yugioh needs more vidya that try something like this.
Andrew Cox
They reupped the Bloody Roar trademark recently, in the States even. I hope it's more than nothing. Even just a port of 2 or something.
