Some of them fall for the fully orchestrated meme which ends up losing some of the simple melodic catchiness (soul, if you will) from the original. The main battle and boss themes are good examples of this.

But there are still some good songs. The Tifa remix when you bust out of Don Corneo's mansion is pretty based

Theres a shitton of versions of the tracks
Take the boss battle theme. You got metal version, orchesta version, and everything

Take turks theme, you got the official turks theme but you also got a version that plays in a much later chapter thats basically the original turks

I hated that track the first time through the Expressway because I spent 30 fucking minutes on the robot hands you have to maneuver and it got repetitive as fuck.

Even THAT track grew on me and I unironically enjoy it now.

For one the use music in the wrong places. The complaints about the music are in the placement and use in the story. And many times it lingers to long or is out of place in certain areas and battles.

There should have been a blend of using classic and the new music. Depending on situation.

Highway Chase remix is way better.

Not my favorite song but I'm glad they didn't go full orchestral for the entire game.

Using Orchestra music was the problem.

This helps a lot to show the differences.

Using orchestral tracks when they maybe should have done electronic or industrial is part of the problem.

But they used orchestral music way to much. When other types would have been more appropriate. But Normura thinks Orchestral = better simply cause its orchestral. He is a shallow autistic.

The original one is way better. They made the regular battle theme fine for the remake (aside from the remixed versions for bosses), but the air buster one sounds too different especially in the later phases where it sounds generic.

They could've used a chorus for that part and kept the orchesta.
