Fuck off.
I remember half a year ago when everyone was doomposting that they'd cut Hell House, and the crossdressing for that matter.
Instead they upgraded Hell House to a full boss fight and we got two extra dresses.
based, tortanic chasers are so sad
ehhh I liked the Rufus, Airbuster, and Valkyrie battle themes more
I beat it on my first try but the fight lasted over an hour. I didn't know what the fuck i was supposed to do about the barrier it constantly had up so I just ended up chip damaging it to death with aerith magic spam. Is there a proper strategy to kill it faster?
I didn't bring aero or blizzard so the fight took fucking ages
Still enjoyed it though
Airbuster and Arsenal Battle Music are better
>Is there a proper strategy to kill it faster?
It still took like 25 fucking minutes to kill the cunt but if you use opposing magic element when he switches the first phases are fast, then just zap his gay little hands as they are outside the barrier, in the final phase when he's in the air casting Heavansward magic his ass and he'll hit the dirt, this is mandatory in hard mode because if you don't the fucker spawns Sweepy and Cutter to rape you
I've been thinking about this for a while, but why did the original localization team think Craudo = Cloud and not Claude? Tifa is and Barret are supposedly named after some shit in the sefirot, and Aeris was retconned as Aerith in KH, right? Meaning the romanji was Aerisu. But why keep Craudo as Cloud? Why would they intentionally correct one name while leaving another name as incorrect?
>inb4 becuz Cloud is le protagonist
So what? I'm willing to bet good fucking one that if anyone knows what FFVII is, they associate the game with Cloud, Tifa and Aerith. Not to mention, protagonists are rarely the most beloved characters in games, people usually like the supporting cast more, and yes, I'm sure that millions of more people liked Aerith more than Cloud.
Remember when people said that they'd take all of the weirdness out of FF7 if they remade it?
I had the same battle. The only materia I had equipped was lightning, so I was just chipping away at it cause its barrier was always up.
When I realized it had this elemental barrier system I reloaded back to before the battle and switched my materia around.
I mean, in normal this game will always be easy as long as you can use items because you don't need to care much about strategy and can just battle of attrition everything and always come out on top, so a good way to prepare for hard mode is to stop using items during battle as soon as you get a hang of the combat system.
>hardest boss
bahamut+ifrit and it's not even close
Cloud = his mind aint clear
Strife = internal struggles
opposite of Zack Fair.
One of the few changes that were an actual improvement, unnecessary shit like the commentators talking about what summons you use and limit breaks is what soul is about.
It seems like all the good ideas they had were put into that one fight.
Even without the exact opposite magic element doing enough damage will interrupt its attacks.
Once it puts on God House the trick is to just defend to raise your ATB, keep your health up, don't bother with the arms and attack as soon as it drops it. It always drops God House when it attacks. Most people have the reflex to then defend from its attacks but you just need to be fast and get high damage spells, preferably of opposite element off before the attack hits you. Then it's pressured, you can stagger it and go to town.
On Hard Mode Sephiroth is still hardest. Bahamut is a pushover even with Ifrit popping in as long as you save a Limit Break for Ifrit.
i didn't have a problem with sephiroth
>getting fucked by hell house
>go to tactical mode to analyze the situation and my next step
>1:40 plays
KIIIINOOOOOOOO
these are the same people complaining about the dancing too
The timing to pressure him with magic is small, so you have to wait for his god mode to drop, save ATB and blast him with a firaga or whatever strongest spell of his weakness
People who rename characters should be shot on sight. Also hard mode hell house was just alright. Certainly took more effort but i still got it in one try.
FFVII made me realize how SOULESS and garbage Capcom's RE3 remake really is.
RE3 seemed ashamed of the original game, cut half the game,.changed Jill's design and the entire city layout in the name of "realism" and just changed thr entire time of the .
FFVII expanded on everythi g from the original game amd even put the silliest dumb shit like the hell house or the crossdressing in a gigantic spotlight complete with all new cutscenes and all. FFVII felt like a celebration of the original game. Stuff like small NPC developments that were hidden behind small optional conversations are now entire sidequests and cutscenes.
RE3 on the other hand felt like something that was embarrassed of it's source material
the parts of the remake where you can pretend it's a FF7 remake are good
too bad it's a sequel
Neither did I, but he's still objectively the hardest because of Heartless Angel and Octaslash.
Leviathan is tougher
The entire game is good.
not your first time out fishing, is it?
Alright lads. I'm out of shit to play and slowly downward spiraling into despair. I'm willing to overlook FF7's garbage graphics and give it a go. Which version should I play?
Just spam burst ripper. You clearly have claude and that shit is the most op move.
The remake did a lot of things wrong. The hell house was not one of them.
bahamut's party wipe was more threatening than anything sephiroth had. that fight with bahamut+ifrit was the only time i felt a need to actually think about gear and materia. sephiroth was just another one and done
>Redolphe
>Claude
>Tiffany
The french localization is fucking weird.
SE had 2 ways to go, they could cut all the campy goofiness bullshit and work around it, or dive headfirst into it.
They put on fucking scuba gear and went swimming in the nonsense bullshit and we get stuff like a house for a boss.
It's pretty kino. They fucked up the ending though.
Eh, if you have figured out how the game and most bosses play you'd automatically reset Bahamut's Megaflare counter unless you're a shitter.
I'd say they went diving, hit the bottom, but somehow kept going
the ps1 version if you can. if not, anything but the original PC release is fine
also, the only thing about the graphics that's aged poorly are the character models outside of battle
There was some dude who was bragging about beating bahamut after 2 dozen deaths who completely missed the mechanic of smacking bahamut during countdown to put him into pressure and as a result went around eating 2 or 3 mrgaflares per attempt. It is truly hard to fathom how absolutely shit people are at games
What a shit game. I can't remember the last time they released zoomer streamer bait of this caliber.
>also, the only thing about the graphics that's aged poorly are the character models outside of battle
in-battle animations seem to take forever from what I've seen, any way to speed that up?
does anyone have that screenshot of the guy that was playing FF6 and kept dying to Inferno boss in Kefka's tower
>Generic Throwaway NPC #5387 tells you to retrieve ten enemy drops
>"side quest"
Talk about soulless cash in. Glad I didn't buy this soulless cancer.
FF7 invented the 1 minute summon cutscene, but summons are largely useless
Other than that, I can't think of any unusually long attack animations. even the tier 3 magic is just the right amount of flashy
