5 is probably the best one, but I don't think there's dragons in it (haven't played through all of it yet).
4.1 is a straight upgrade from 4, and is the one that introduced different classes. I know this one has dragons.
I haven't played or heard anything good about Insect Armageddon.
Iron Rain was pretty short and has way lower enemy counts because of a focus on grafixxx, but its class system is way more versatile than the main games and it has some neat ideas like a guy who moves with a grappling hook and can ride some of the giant bugs as a limit break.
