You're honest thoughts about these fuckers eventually destroying society being canon in fallout?

humanity has survived worse.

I wish to purge these fuckers from the face of the earth. Fuck tunnelers and fuck lonesome road.

kinda shit tbch

New Vegas isn't canon

humanity deserves worse

I'll hijack this thread and ask a question of my own.
Why did House lead the courier to The Strip, but his bots still asked of the courier fpr either money or a passport?

All the DLCs were pretty mediocre, but the interesting thing is that they were each mediocre in entirely different ways.

Lonesome Road is unambiguously the worst, though.

It was probably made up by Ulysses to force the courier into his train of thought.

this

too see if the courier had what it took too get inside.

Practical answer:
>House barely monitors Freeside at all and didn't notice the Courier approaching the gate
>House can only observe through a certain few Securitrons at a time and couldn't find the Courier without Victor

Meta answer:
>they needed SOME sort of reason to go questing in Freeside and surrounding areas, because there's so little shit to do otherwise

I don't believe it myself, Ulysses simply doesn't have a very high opinion of everyone else so he figures they'll get done in easy.

>Tosses flash bang

Heh, nothing personnel tunnelers.

A nibba's gotta make bank somehow.
Plus it could serve as a test to see if the Courier had the guile/know-how to deal with that kind of problem.

I always thought they were a nice "Fuck You' from Obsidian to Bethesda, as they knew Bethesda would forget about them and have to fuck up their own lore. Maybe it's just a fuck you to Pete Hines.

I don't think House makes money from the Credit Checks, it's only to verify if you got money to gamble away inside.

Then Obsidian showed Bethesda how it's done by making Outer Worlds.

And fuck Mr. House

I don't get the point of this, that the mutant is dumb? He's chastising the survivor for picking up old stuff to be repurposed because?

thats kinda stupid. why did they bother adding in that retarded detail in?

>time is absolutely of the essence and my centuries-long plans are in immediate danger
>but I should make this guy who I know traveled several miles through contested territory to get here rustle up a couple thousand caps and/or schmooze with the idiot plebs
>you know, just in case he doesn't have enough gumption for me

Eccentric billionaires are fucking weirdos, man.

>human-sized men in fursuits with christmas lights on their heads
>taking out a deathclaw

Why no, I dont think Lonesome Road is canon.

extremely fucking derivative and unoriginal rip-offs

It's an edit of a tankie strawman comic

The ramblings of a mentally deranged radiation addled tribal; who thought the little culture a band of wasteland wandering rapist and murderers brought to him, made him a big brain know-it-all who could tackle the problems that destroyed the world hundreds of years ago, should be ignored, specifically more so when he ended up coming with the brilliant plan of doing the exact same fucking mistake that plunged the world into the shit-fest it is in current Fallout time.

>Why did House lead the courier to The Strip, but his bots still asked of the courier fpr either money or a passport?
House never directly interacted with the Courier, he just hired six random couriers. There's no ID, and I'm assuming there's no biometrics, so the securitrons at the entrance would have had no idea who the fuck he was.
Also, House never directly led the Courier to the Strip, he was chasing Benny.
but the real answer is:
>gameplay mechanic to prevent you from kicking a bunch of shit off before you were ready

this is the original comic

Bors can get fucked

Well of course they took out that Deathclaw, ambushes aren't advantageous for nothing.

Ulysses is retarded and nothing he says should be taken seriously.

My bad this is the original

But Deathclaws are the strongest
They kick butt and don't afraid of anything, a bunch of angry gremlins with ADHD shouldn't win any day of the week

Once you ambush something, if you don't kill it in one strike, the ambush becomes moot, and no, a tunneler shouldn't be able to kill a deathclaw in one hit.

This comic is really only bad because of the first two panels. You don't have to use an iphone and while every smartphone uses chink labor, you can at least pick the lesser evil.

Dude is a freaking ghoul.

I used to refuse submitting to the credit check for years before realising they didn't actually take the caps from you. There's literally no reason to get a passport

Let me see the other side

I don't know if it is explained in the game, but I would wager it's something the families asked Mr. House to do.

You don't want capless idiots roaming around the Casinos, that is just asking to get Van Grafft, like that asshole who plastic explodes the whole fucking place if you let him pass.

also the car one is bad. why did he buy a car without a seatbelt? he could have brought an old used car to not parton the carmaker but instead he presumably built a factory new car without one
he's not using his purchasing power to incentivize companies to put in seatbelts

I could see an ambush leading to pushing someone into very disadvantageous terrain, like being pinned in a hole or against a wall.

The act of ambushing doesn't have to be where the killing blow happens.

2,000 caps ain't even that much.
Even with a low barter skill.

How much of a jew do you have to be?

The car in the picture is one of the very first Ford automobiles, which didn't have seatbelts until someone invented them. The bottom two panels are in the past, somehow.

Interesting fact, though: seatbelts were invented LONG before they were standard in cars. There was a lot of pushback against mandatory seatbelt use, because people back then were more worried about being trapped in the car when it crashed than being flung out of the window or crushed against the dashboard.

Play DUST Survival Simulator

It's explicitly stated that Tunnelers hunt by swarming Deathclaws and overwhelming them, and a number of them get killed in the process.

Numbers and terrain would have a lot in terms of advantage, too. The places where the tunnellers hunt are more cramped for the larger deathclaws, and they've got a good number of them. It's like hyenas overwhelming a lion - it's pretty rare but definitely not impossible.

>evaporates from a single 12 gauge shell
yawn

I could be spending that 2,000 caps on excessive quantities of Buffout and Alcohol so I can lug 5 million tonnes of shit across the wasteland, not blow it on some glorified calculator's dumb cap check.

They wont destroy it, OWB canonically survives for many years after
And New Vegas is allied with MT if Courier took Yes-man route.
Im sure they can build something like this.

Canon has lost its meaning to me because I'm a serious roleplay fag but yeah I enjoy DUST and the idea that they proliferated and have ruined the mojave is pretty demented. Me gusta.

>The monsters alergic to sunlight are going to conquer the mojave DESERT
No

I was a child at the time I didn't know you could just farm NCR troopers by crouching behind them with spiked knuckles

dead money is unironically the worst dlc, atleast lonesome road had an interesting world space and i really liked ED-E as a companion although ulysses was still a pretentious ass. Dead money had NO positives about it, no interesting loot, no interesting characters except maybe dog/god and the annoying as fuck ghosts, collars and hologuards.

>start game
>sneak past deathclaws
>trade everything for Naughty Nightwear for that +1 luck
>win all the casinos
>get implants
Every single time.

don't think too hard about it bruh, they're gonna make big tunnels through all this loose sand and murder everyone at night.

New Vegas is the last canon fallout.

I dont hink I ever bought anything, ever.
Just smacking things for their loot and using my pristine guns only against overwhelming powers.
Unless I made a character that wasnt about melee or unarmed.

Lonesome Road and OWB are shit DLCs with tryhard writing that base level dweebs cream themselves over.

FO3 a better

Tunnelers are pretty much "then aliens came and everybody died, the end" tier of writing, what where they thinking?

>although ulysses was still a pretentious ass
you didn't understand his character. he broke from himself literally like colonel kurtz in apocalypse now
>Dead money had NO positives about it,

it did though cuz they had the balls to try and make a top-down actual RPG where your choices and skill-checks matter. I'll admit the end with the holograms and speaker-boxes is legit annoying though.
