Based of you to put TLG.

That is actually on my wishlist. No idea what it is about, but I've heard that its really good.

Not the biggest fan of TLOU, but it was a solid TPS nonetheless. Enjoyable at the more higher difficulties.

Very good, even if I don't like Demon's Souls.

Is what little of Ciconia that's out really that good?
ZTD is a fine pick, but I think VLR is the best of the series by a significant margin.
I'd really like to play The Missing sometime.

The Missing is so underrated
1/1 (only played Splinter Cell)
1/1 (only played Gravity Rush 2)
7/8 (haven't played Megaman X and I disliked Last of Us)
I haven't played any of these yet, but if FFX's combat was the basis for LotR: The Third Age then I'll put a preliminary 1 for that.
2/2, can't go wrong with Coup and Scrabble.
3/3, only played TF2, THPS2, and Postal 2
3/3, only played Pokemon, Gravity Rush, and MonHun. What all did Science Adventure Series make?
I plan to play most of the games I've seen in here so far eventually, there's a ton of shit I've yet to experience.

It's one of the best VN series out there, highly recommended, especially the first game, lost count of how many times I replayed it.
I have no idea how you fags can narrow down list of your favourite games to 9. I just tried and couldn't because I'd run out of slots and still have games I absolutely love and then start wondering which one I should substract to fit in another one and after I do that I immediately think that the one I substracted needs to be on the list so I look for another to substract and eventually repeat the process anyway.
do a 4x4 or 3x4
>Steins;Gate
Ahh, I will add another 1/1 to your list then user. I've played and enjoyed Steins;Gate and Steins;Gate 0 but haven't played anything else in their series.
They way I tried to narrow it down was, if you were to make a game based off your favorite elements, what games would you choose from? I have a lot of favorite multiplayer games and memories from them, but at the end of the day even with all the time and fun I had with them I probably wouldn't put them in my top 9 most influential or favorite experiences from vidya unless a mechanic or experience from there left a huge impact on me.

Good method, I'll think about it.
You're missing the point. They're not narrowing them down, they played exactly 9.

TFW I'll never have a personality because I can't think which Team ICO game I like more. Don't want to pick bayonetta also when I haven't even played DMC3.

That's great but it's unfortunate you played Steins;Gate before Chaos;Head. You've missed the small interesting references from the first game scattered throughout Steins;Gate.

There's literally no point to them other than feeling better about yourself getting internet points from anonymous people. These threads aren't even for getting recommendations, because everyone posts the same shit over and over. Someone who has videogames as a hobby should have already played them or at least have heard of them all.
1/1 (NGB)
I've played NMH, Killer7, and Gravity Rush 1 but not TSA or GR2. I do want to get NMH3 though.
2/2 (DMC3, MMX); that art for MMX is kind of a bad choice my man, maybe find some key art if you don't want the cover.
1/1 (Scrabble)
I can't tell if you mean MH1 or the series still. Also Pokemon as a series is super inconsistent even just mainline.
4/4 (Silver, TS2, Blood Money, SM)
3/3 (GnG, DMC, Scrabble)
Do you feel like putting Treasure Trove as one square is cheating so you put Specter & King separate? Do you actually dislike Shovel/Plague?
Bayonetta and Itsuno-era DMCs don't have that much in common. Bayo has just a bit of DMC4 inspiration, like having the whip allow you to pull enemies to you like Nero's Snatch, and that's about it.
Bayonetta is a lot more about playing around the rhythm of aggressive enemy attack patterns to dodge offset through your strings and finish them so you can get Wicked Weaves that do good damage and keep your combo score up. DMC lets you dictate the pace yourself and gives you the freedom to take on enemies whatever way you want as long as you build your Style meter.
Any of my fellow chads in here?
>gears of war judgement
there's no e, it's Judgment
>Do you feel like putting Treasure Trove as one square is cheating so you put Specter & King separate? Do you actually dislike Shovel/Plague?
Well Specter and King can be bought seperately from TT, so I consider TT to be more a bundle of games than a single one. I really like Plague of Shadows too, it honestly barely misses out on getting on this 3x3. Maybe I'll change my mind someday.
I honestly don't give a fuck, I actually post what's implicative of my taste. If people actually cared for brownie points they would post nothing but obscure, hardcore, or jap only shit for all their games since Yas Forums's culture as a whole is some weird hybrid of counter-culturism/counter-mainstream hipster bullshit. I'm more surprised you don't see more obvious troll and shitposts 3X3's filled with games that are highly lauded as shit not just by Yas Forums but the mainstream as whole.
Still can't do it.
Ass Creed series and Arx Fatalis both have a mechanic I really like, which is modes that modify the function of buttons (in Ass Creeds it's low and high profile and in Arx Fatalis it's stealth button) letting you have more gameplay mechanics in fewer buttons and thus more intuitive controls.
Arx Fatalis itself has the best magic system I ever seen, as well as nice (although underdeveloped) cooking mechanics.
Amnesia Dark Descent has opening doors and chests with mouse movement and ability to rotate items intuitively (it's completely useless in that game but I appreciate the mechanic nevertheless).
Thief is the best stealth game and has some nice level design (particularly The Sword). This also applies to Arx Fatalis' Akbaa Temple which had slightly tilted stairs and doors which made the level more uncanny. Then there's VtMB's Nosferatu Lair which is one of the most beautiful locations in gaming.
Gothic is unparalleled in terms of open world design, monster placement, and NPC routines and has the best soundtrack in all of vidya.
Mafia has a great city and car driving system where you actually enjoy driving slow and according to traffic laws, also it has that mission where you have to do some tedious job that later is followed by a gunfight or escape sequence (I like some tedious gameplay sometimes when it emphasizes a following action sequence).
Dark Messiah has rope arrow that you use to explore great locations, such as that large tower/well with broken wooden ledges. Also level design that facilitates throwing enemies into abyss.
Deus Ex has the best set of mutually interactive systems allowing for creative solutions. Also great story, writing, characters, memorable quotes.
Stalker Shadow of Chernobyl and Call of Pripyat - here I will cheat and count them as one. A-life, X-labs, slav aesthetics, comf, NPCs playing guitar and telling jokes, anomalies, atmosphere.
1/2
2/2
Psychonauts is a great platformer with fun movement, fun locations and I liked the collectables in that game (unlike Ass Creeds' flags or feathers, there were different kinds, obtaining them all was gated by abilities learned later on, and had lore attached to them).
F.E.A.R. and F.E.A.R. Perseus Mandate's gunfights and Replicas' AI.
Half Life 2 slav city aesthetic and Combine chatter.
Hitman Codename 47 interaction system where I can move mouse freely within the screen, right click on an interactable object I'm far away from and choose an interaction option before I even get into interaction distance. Silent Assassin and Contracts improved on that by having the character turn with the mouse movement, but there was still some room where you could move cursor and not turn the character.
And then there are games I have not yet played but I know they have some amazing designs. There' just too many games with really neat designs and mechanics.
never heard of most of the games you guys play. so here's mine.
3/4 TLG was not worth the wait
3/5 didn't like TSA unless you mean one of the older NMH games
9/9 TLoU is overrated but I still like it

3/4 Tried to get into BLOOD but got filtered
5/5 >Nier Replicant
5/5 Timesplitters is still amazing
2/3 Didn't like Gears Judgement
4/5 Shadow of War didn't hold my attention compared to the last game
2/2 +Bloodborne, Demon's Souls
Probably going to play Prey soon, also been wanting to play Ninja Gaiden Black
0/1 -NieR Automata
I tried Gravity Rush 2's demo and didn't find it all that interesting either
5/5 +HL2, DMC3, TF2, L4D2, RE4
Not sure what Zelda games those are, but I could never get into that series
1/1 +Doom Eternal
Played the first KotOR and didn't enjoy it, really looking forward to finally playing DMC5 though
4/5 +TF2, FNV, Morrowind, Planescape Torment, -KotOR
2/3 +Super Metroid, Oblivion, -Hitman
Not to big on stealth games
2/3 +Bloodborne, Sekiro, -DS3
It's a fine game, I just find it incredibly uninspired especially after the 4 previous games
4/4 +Dark Souls, RE4, Metroid, SotN
I do it to get recs from people with similar taste. Quit being so cynical and find a better use of your time
Honestly, I have trouble filling out 9. Only about 5 of these are definite favorites
