Based, I started a thread about this a bit ago. I finished DS this morning, it’s an incredible experiment I can’t see being replicated. Kojima isn’t infallible, but I haven’t seen a game like this before, like it or not.

this. People complain about how AAA games are all the same shit and there's no creativity anymore but they still make a shit-ton of money from shitting out the same thing over and over again, and then Kojima comes up with something different (even if wacky) and people shit on it.
I haven't played the game, but I appreciate his efforts at least and will give it a shot at some point but most people seem like they don't know what they want.

Doesn't matter anyways, DS will be Kojima's last game ever. It was a huge flop with only about ~300k units sold worldwide, pitiful numbers for a typical AAA game, but especially bad for something with a budget as overinflated as Death Stranding's.
There's no way Sony will ever let him use their money to make another shitty game ever again. There's a reason Konami got tired of his shit and fired him even though he was their only claim to fame left. He's a money black hole.

Because it wasn't fun, you can want something different and also want it to be fun. When I played Killer7 when I was 14, I was impressed because of how fun the game was while also being very different in terms of narrative and themes to what else was out at the time. Death Stranding's gameplay does not stand up for many even if it's "interesting" from the outside looking in.
