First of all, any dub NoA would shit out would pale in comparison to the Tomato one.

the foremost reason is that it's a GBA game with no port or remake for other platforms, and nintendo doesn't go back to program new localized versions of games for EOL platforms.
their late localized releases like mother 1 and star fox 2 were finished in the 90s and released as-is when there was demand. plenty of other devs have made new localizations of old games but not nintendo.

It's probably a better thing it never came out earlier because then there would be no fan sub. Had they localized it before the fan sub it would be the same butchered low effort mess as every localization. There's no possibility that a localized version would be superior to the fan made sub so it doesn't matter anymore. The first time I played it years ago emulators couldn't allow you to correctly do tap combos. So i bought an sd cart and played it on an actual gameboy. i picked it up again a few months ago and VBA now works perfectly for the tap combos.

Because nintendo is my favorite video game company and i want to give them my money even if i can get the game for free.
