Called it game sux. Now let’s hope they roll back the fucking woke parade and make a real xcom next time.

Probably got a 5-10 point boost just by having XCOM in the title.

I thought games got a 'woke boost' to their rating so either that didn't happen or this is worse than the rating implies

That's not bad for a cheap spin-off that they probably shat out in well under a year.
What did people expect it to get?

>game has less than 100 on metacritic
oof
shit game
(according to Yas Forums)

>Called it game sux.

tortanic fags like you sure are cancer

Wasn't Warband a buggy piece of shit on launch? That'd be worth deducting points. What's wrong with Chimera Squad to warrant a similar score then?

Frankly, I don't understand how people put up with this shit. I wish I could go back in time.

>Generally favorable reviews
>game suxs
are you dyslexic?

Warband survived for so long due to mods, something a critic couldn't see or experience.

The de facto range for almost any game on metacritic is 70-100, so a sub-80 score looks a bit rough

So how much of this score is diversity bonus?

I didn't even know this existed until now.

nigga i only played vanilla and sunk 19 hours into the game

mods sure help and Chimera squad will have em, but warband was good even without them

critic reviews are a good tool to make informed decisions, buts its not like every game until 90 points is trash

Checked the bad reviews.
2 of them dislike the new art style, one of them dislikes not being able to alpha strike everything anymore, the last one ran into a bug and docked it 2 out of 5 for that.

Sounds about right for Warband. When people talk about what a great game Warband is, that's usually with things like Floris, Diplomacy, Pendor, ect type mods installed. Base Warband is a great game but pretty deeply flawed with bugs and balancing issues.

I am gonna guess it's that second thing you said but I don't care enough to actually investigate it

Warband was something wholy unique, there are plenty of xcom games and xcom clones so to compete you have to be better

Thats still much higher than the game deserves given its only playable with mods. Same is true of its sequel so obviously the devs take blame.

lol what?

Wow it's almost like when you attempt to appeal to sjws it just drives them to nitpick you harder

Wait a second I just checked and that was an edit
My point still stands though

give a finger like a retard, lose an arm

They are clearly making Xcom 3, this is just an expansion of Xcom 2.

wtf I love the game now

you know very well there was nothing implausible about that edit user

based and xcom pilled

>"oops what i just read is completely false and doesnt support my argument"
>"im still right though"

actually yes, there was, a lot, and the the first thing you shouldve suspected was some dingus using inspect element

didn't even know this was a thing

no. RPS has been one headline away from writing that for years

IGN only gave it 7/10. Did Firaxis not send the cheque not in time?

i dont even think RPS does scores anymore, so they shouldnt even show up on metacritic

i dont even read RPS and i know this, so you read RPS enough to know what they will supposedly write, but not enough to know they dont do scores?

wait but metacritic still aggregates their reviews dont they? i thought they just guesstimated the star rating

i dont know, i dont remember seeing them on metacritic in a while

if they do in fact still do scores, they probably send them only to metacritic, cuz their reviews sure dont have em, just checked their chimera squad review, no number

Yes

I am fairly certain unscored reviews never count, if they did sword and shield would have probably been a couple points lower for the absolute thrashing eurogamer gave it

The only off thing was that the first sentence seemed a bit poorly constructed.

XCom 2 is still the best in the series thanks to the massive wonderful modding scene it has. And because it's a good fun game.
