what are you playing anons?
JRPG thread
Persona 5 Royal of course
Romancing SaGa 3
Tales of Symphonia. Quarantine just got extended for me. Might as well stick around on this thread for new games.
I feel like I am the only one on the earth who is still working normally
Have you played Eternal punishment yet?
The problem with strange journey's ost is the track count and use.
You kind of get sick of hearing the same shit while dungeon crawling, especially as the game starts reusing shit from Fornax onwards, and would've been nice if there were more unique battle themes.
Not saying it's bad, just lacking.
DeSu OC, haven't been playing as much.
Continuing Lost Odyssey today. Queen Ming is peak coom material. I like how the general of her country cucked her and is now going to establish the most peace loving nation on the planet by initiating a war against the country the party is from. He is hilarious and ny favorite dude in the game so far besides the based womanizer Jansen
>would've been nice if there were more unique battle themes
I was hoping for a different battle theme for each sector. maybe that was a bit unrealistic, but I was a bit disappointed
no, I haven't finished IS
I'd like to play Lost Odyssey sometime, but my Xbox has no HDD, so I can't install it. Apparently running from the disc leads to long load times.
Same game as you+Ys 8 and Devil Survivor.
Might keep doing some Re2 speedruns and unlock leftover trophies.
Any good modern day or wuxia /vr/ JRPGs? I've already played live a live.
If you ever do play it i gotta warn you that the first boss is a real shitfuck bastard
I'm trying to play Ys Origin, first ys game btw, but I keep getting distracted by friends wanting to play online games.
>wuxia /vr/
can you read Chinese?
Playing .Hack//GU shits pretty fun
No.
Origin is the best Ys. Are you playing Yunica or Hugo?
Was looking for something Wuxia-themed too for a change, so I'm currently playing a Chinese RPG.
Final Fantasy X Remaster
It's been years since i 100% it in PS2 and i want to get the platinum
Won the Luca Blitz match
Still mad there's no IMOQ remaster
Persona 4G. I like it well enough, but its not my favorite game. It's largely pretty easy by SMT standards, which makes getting game over'd in a random encounter because the enemies decide to gang up on MC that much more frustrating.
Anyway, just got to the boss at the end of Heaven, kunino-sagiri. Any tips? Tried it once and he was kinda curbstopping me with those party-wide xxxdyne spells.
Looking forward to XB1DE. Not even gonna type it out lest the fanboys take over the thread again.
Front Mission 3 for the first time
Yunica. I tried Hugo for a couple minutes but I didnt like the playstyle
I am currently playing Bravely Default and then I will play its sequel Bravely Second. I also plan to play Final Fantasy Type 0 soon and Fire Emblem Awakening.
>tfw finally broke down and bought Quarantine some months ago
I don't remember how much I paid, and I'd rather not look it up.
It's a WRPG but have you tried Jade Empire?
I know how you feel. Game is expensive to the point of sheer absurdity.
I just wish JRPGs had more interesting settings.
I'm getting tired of the whole fantasy setting.
Playing Radiant Historia on emulator right now. Was looking for something with mech combat like Xenosaga but it's still pretty fun.
name what you're lookin for an I might be able to recommend something
JRPGs have way more varied settings than WRPGs though, especially today.
Chrono Cross has an amazing tropical setting that oozes atmosphere, for example.
I think I got it for (relatively) decent price. I got IMO all for about $100 total back in 2012, but Q was always like $200. Local game store had it for maybe $180. I probably got it for under $150 from ebay, but I don't want to double-check because I'm happy being ignorant regarding the price of vidya.
I don't really have much reason to play Jade Empire since I can read Chinese, and like 80% of the China or Taiwan-made RPGs are WuXia-themed, specifically taking place in Louis Cha's Wuxia universe.
Calligula Effect
I think Live a Live was the only JRPG that I felt was purely unique.
Currently between P5R and SMTIV:A
Well fine I was just making a suggestion mr. Jiang Shi
Damn
What are some good JRPGs that can give you some feels?
I've been playing Final Fantasy 3
