Since the last console F-Zero:

>Chibi-Robo, Mario & Luigi, Nintendogs, Style Savvy, Mario Vs. Donkey Kong, Artstyle/bitgenerations, The Wii series, Fossil Fighters, Rhythm Heaven, and the Tingle series were birthed, then killed

>Theres been 6 Nintendo consoles and 300+ Nintendo published games.

What went wrong?

Style Savvy wasn't killed, you melodramatic faggot.

>Last game flopped
Ok zoomer

GX was a pinnacle, literally nothing else you can do with the franchise at this point. You should feel lucky it wasn't disgracefully milked to death after that. Few franchises are so lucky as F-Zero, to live and die with dignity.

Nobody bought GX and the two GBA games that followed sold even worse.

>Few franchises are so lucky as F-Zero, to live and die with dignity.
You know it died because it had a load of crappy GBA reboot games that sold fucking horribly, right? Dignity is the last word that comes to mind when it comes to F-Zero's death.

Wasn't it because the Anime flopped overseas? They only dubbed like 10 episodes in English.

>You know it died because it had a load of crappy GBA reboot games
How could someone be this wrong? First off there are only two GBA games, Maximum Velocity and GP Legend, both are good, Maximum Velocity came out before GX, and GP legend, the final game is the best of the classic style.

So everything you said was wrong. Amazing.

>First off there are only two GBA games, Maximum Velocity and GP Legend,
Retard

Don't forget Pushmo/Pullmo/Fallblox/Stretchmo

Rip

If Nintendo is to be believed, it's because GX was too good and they can't think of anything else to do with the franchise. Except for online, a track editor, enhanced custom machines, new machines, characters, tracks, story, etc.

Doesn't explain why there's never been a re-release. But hey, what the fuck do I know?

>Doesn't explain why there's never been a re-release.
That's what really baffles me. Rerelease it, uprez it, throw in a couple of new tracks and you have some trivially easy money. There's no way it wouldn't sell after all these years, too.

Why do people ignore this game

Everyone pretends GX was the final game when it isn't

Is it bad?

because nintendo is pissed off that the greatest racing game was made by sega

It's the same as the other GBA games, nothing special really

youtube.com/watch?v=r1FSJ4xOWO4

Only noteworthy thing is that it has has a track editor.

chibi-robo isn't even an assist trophy and it completely baffles me
the whole point of the little lad is to assist

and how come Captain Falcon is still the only one of the original 12 aside yoshi, but he's technically mario that still doesn't have a second playable rep from their series? I get it's unrelated, but the shit you see in smash bros basically tells how nintendo markets or will market their IPs

Only real loss were Mario & Luigi, Rhythm Heaven and Chibi-Robo. Still weird how Nintendo abandoned Nintendogs despite it being the second best selling DS game ever.

It makes no sense. They have a gorillion billion yen and they won't commission games.

They don't even need to develop them. Outsource the fucking things. Sega made the last good one.

Hyrule Warriors and Fire Emblem wasn't made by Nintendo
Pokken wasn't made by Nintendo
W101 and Astral Chains wasn't made by Nintendo
Starfox Zero wasn't made by Nintendo
Metroid Samus Returns wasn't made by Nintendo
Luigi's Mansion wasn't made by Nintendo.
Yoshi games aren't made by Nintendo

Just outsource more fucking games, cheapskate fucks.

It's moreso that it didn't release outside of Japan

I see. But still. Its disingenuous of fans to say GX was the last one. I guess they mean the last "great" one which while true, makes it seem like the last GBA title was some Zip Lash tier disaster, and it doesnt look bad from what Im seeing. I guess being Japan only is another reason, but this isnt 2004 anymore; there are a bevvy of resources online to look up and know what did or didnt come to the states.

Chibi-Robo was fucked beyond belief
>First game was released a few months before Wii came out, which mean it didn't sell
>Park Patrol was a fucking WalMart exclusive in the US, no European release either
>First game had a Wii version under the New Play Control label, was the only one of them that didn't see a Western release
>Third game goes back to the roots, again, only in Japan
>Photo Finder is shovelware
>Zip Lash plays nothing like the previous games and Tanaba banked it to save the franchise, it flopped.
>5 years later, both Chibi-Robo and the company behind it Skip are dead.
Someone at Nintendo must have really hated Skip, this is truly a tragedy.

At this point I don't want a new F-Zero game because I know Nintendo would somehow manage to fuck it up. SOMEHOW.

F-Zero GX is literal perfection, that any change to it would just mess it up.
This thanks to that one Sega team that made the good Super Monkey Ball games, which is now gone. Those guys know how to do speed, gamefeel, plus it's kind of a requisite that every Sega game has a 10/10 soundtrack.

Honestly, just port it to the Switch, up the resolution, add online GPs, and include the AX content from the get-go.

Nintendo of America hates Skip.

They refused localizing Captain Rainbow and Giftpia. Those games have lots of jap weirdness and reams of dialogue to translate so they don't feel compelled to localize since they feel the games won't sell. I understand why, the 2000s was hardcore edgy times for teens who hated gay colorful babyshit not on Sony/Xbox, but they could at least try to not show their disdain for one company so clearly. They didn't even localize the Wii port of Chibi Robo which would have been easy as shit to do and cost next to nothing. And then they made Park Patrol WalMart exclusive limiting its release and making it seem like some cheap edutainment game for Earth Day and environmentalism. NoA always had it out for them since Day 1.

yfw none of this shit got localized but horrible games like windy x windam got localized

NoA has shit taste in games. Their favorite Kirby game is Epic Yarn, if you can believe that. They love shilling it on social media. Wouldnt be surprised if the Extra Yarn port was their idea.

Skip games dont sell well either in Japan but they funded by Nintendo directly and it has a good fanbase in Japan too. So people do like Chibi Robo, but not the ones in charge of localizing it.

NOA has always been shit compared to the others, Nintendo of Europe localized some games that NOA didn't want
>Tingle's Rosy Rupeeland
>Another Code R
>Last Window: The Secret of Cape West
>Disaster: Day of Crisis
>Jam with the Band
>Kuru Kuru Kururin
>Doshin the Giant
>They weren't against the Operation Rainfall games
And some others that escape me, NOA is trash.

I ordered a copy of F-Zero GX. Always wanted it.

Story mode is hard as fuck and apparently there are two difficulties up from here? The game is incredibly fun but mashing that retry button is less so.

NoE localized and fully voiced Xenoblade Chronicles which went on to be the most pirated game of the year and NoA didn't want anything to do with it. NOA is fucked

I kinda understand not wanting to go through the effort of printing physically and publishing and marketing a game you don't think will do particularly well back in the day but nowadays if you don't have 100% faith in a game you could just make it digital only.

Also NoE have way better rewards and preorder incentives. Could be since Europe has traditionally never been that fond of Nintendo so they have to put in the extra mile but still. It sucks we dont have such chad localizers like them here, all we have are sanfran SJWs like Allison Rapp injecting cringe meme humor into our games. I would have killed to get those games.

>apparently there are two difficulties up from here?
Yes. It's difficult but so satisfying when you finally beat a chapter on Very Hard.

Dear Nintendo

YOUR COCKSUCKING PRODUCT HAS REDUCED ME TO A GIBBERING MAN-APE WHOSE ONLY RESORT TO DEALING WITH THE ALMIGHTY FUCKING GRIEF IT'S BESTOWED UPON ME IS TO SCREAM AND HURT MYSELF.

Seriously, I am jumping up and down and throwing my shit in handfuls at the fucking television in some impotent primal effort to get the thing to work. I have been sitting here trying to enjoy your product - YOUR PRODUCT, YOUR GAME, YOUR CONTRACT BETWEEN DEVELOPER AND CONSUMER THAT THE CONSUMER WILL ENJOY YOUR PRODUCT - but instead the damn thing's been crawling out of the console and taking warm shits in my gaping mouth. Swear to god, you should have just added a little door to the console through which a hand pops out and flips me off, because I am insulted that your QA or testers or whatever brainless shitstove three genes short of a monkey FAGNUT signs your games through thought that a person with more than a single fucking digit IQ could enjoy Story Mode Chapter 7. INSULTED.

WORK WITH ME HERE: The goal's simple enough! Come in first! Hey, that's fine, it's just like playing the grand fucking prix; not a problem! Only deal is your cross-eyed team of tongue-slapping wunderkind decided to give the game every single fucking advantage possible TO THE GAME rather than me.

Attached: chapter 7.jpg (480x360, 19.45K)

Those games were fucking fantastic. It's like the only decent Intelligent System games in the 2010s. Did they sell well enough? Considering it got 4 fucking games in a row. I really want a new Pushmo for Switch. I heard Crashmo World was in development for Wii U but it got scrapped since the console was dying. Really hope they return to it soon.

And now look at Xenoblade. One of their bigger series.

F to Pandora's Tower & Last Story

How in the fuck does Black Shadow - whose car is the heaviest and lamest piece of shit next to the Crazy Bear - suddenly become SO FUCKING GOOD that he can stay in first without using a drop of boost? Huh!? Why!? You never see this shithead anywhere near the top fucking 20 in a normal race. BUT HO HO HO THIS TIME HE'S MEGA-COCK, THE FASTEST FAGGOT IN THE WORLD. 1.21 GIGAWATTS MARTY, LET'S GO BACK TO THE FUCKING FUTURE.

But it's not just Black Shadow with the magical powers, it's the entire fucking lineup of racers! THEY'RE ALL FASTER THAN YOU. AND DON'T REQUIRE ANY BOOST. But but but I of course, am still driving some piece of shit hamster-powered jalopy who guzzles it's entire energy bar in no less than four fucking boosts! Add to this the entire course just got shitted on by some retarded space tiki volacano god and you've got a course full of hazards that'll drain at least 1/4 of your energy bar JUST BECAUSE IT CAN. WHOOPIE. HURRR, you say. THAT'S JUST THE CHALLENGE. IT'S NOT SUPPOSED TO BE EASY. Well fuck that noise, you lopsided frankenfaced fuckfurter

Tell me, please, why does the GAME have to win? Huh? What happens when the game wins and I lose? Is there some huge fucking kegger waiting for it when it gets done? Is there money involved? Or perhaps the motives are more sinister. Maybe the game's family is being held hostage by another game and that game has it's cock in F-Zero's wife's mouth and he's holding a cell phone up to her and F-Zero can hear her pained moans and cries for help and the asshole game then says, "You beat that cock-sucking human, or I'll blow her brains out." I COULD UNDERSTAND THAT. I CAN BE SYMPATHETIC. It's not any fun if I can't win, you faggots. I want to move on. I want to unlock that piece of shit clown car you have hidden away from me so I can start racing and get pissed off with that too. When your game prevents me from fully enjoying the product I have bought you have failed in your fucking mission to deliver a game. YOU LOSE!

Not a localization, but NOA released Rhythm Heaven Megamix and Dillon's Dead Heat Breakers as e-shop only games while Japan and Europe had them as physical releases.

WHATS THAT? YOU WANT ANOTHER MARIO PARTY AND KIRBY GAME?

YOU GOT IT!
