The gummi ship was my favorite part of the game.

It's a game about deep male relationships and how women ruin them. Also darkness. Fun boss fights though.

Been a while, but i remember not understanding what the fuck was going with gummi building in 1 because they did a terrible explaining how to build right and that kind of perspective in building in the garage drove me nuts. I think that in this game it was a pain in the ass to get blueprints or how annoying it was to get new parts in those missions
Only in 2 I understood how to use it right, it was also easier to get parts to build the gummiship.

I can recommend the video if not just to laugh at the fatty. By the time he gets to KH3D he outs himself as a yaoi shipper and talks about how Sora and Riku are totally in love and how Nomura won't just make it canon because evil Japan hates fags. Granted, this video was from before KH3 came out so I just laughed for several minutes after being reminded of all the asshurt fujos when Sora X Kairi really was endgame. If you have 7 hours to kill this is a pretty good summary of the lore and the fatty does a good job at explaining things slowly to not get the narrative mangled by Nomura's constant plot twists. It's also fun to just laugh at the insanity by seeing it from the perspective of an outsider.

Kairi didn't die the first time, I know the context is confusing but it's the reason Chirithy says someone is holding onto Sora, and why you don't have to fight the Lich to get to her she's not dead.

That's bad writing. Look in previous games they explain that when Heartless get you they do NOT kill you. But fast forward to Kingdom Hearts 3 Heartless thrash everyone and they're sent to the Final World which is close to death and if you linger too much in there you will actually die. It's just bad writing. Nomura is straight up horrible. It's his horrible writing why I'm dropping this series.
