Wtf I'm getting filtered
throttle and brakes aren't 0-1 switches
the handbrake is less useful than you think
listen to your navigator
think about how the weight of the car shifts
or just alt+f4 and play Carmageddon: Maximum Damage instead
This game is fucking hard
this runs like shit on regular ps4
I'll stick to the first one thanks
what the fuck is codemasters thinking f1 2019 has the same issues just tone down the graphics you fucking morons these games need 60 fps
Does Dirt Rally 2.0 have Pikes Peak?
Dealbreaker for me if it doesnt.
Here you are you fucking retard
youtube.com
Just do rallycross
It doesn't.
>throttle and brakes aren't 0-1 switches
This more than anything. Applicable to any racing Sim with assists off, but more than ever on loose surfaces ease into the throttle and brakes. Also don't go full out. Drive defensively until you get more used to how your car handles. And stay the fuck away from anything rwd until you get this all down.
Reminder this is harder than dark souls, in dark souls if you get hit by a boss you can heal yourself
Here if you make a tiny mistake going at 150, just a tiny mistake your car goes to shit.
I got this shit because I wanted to relieve my childhood playing top gear rally 2
It failed at that
>download it because it's free on PSN
>haven't played any realistic racing games
>didn't see a tutorial ingame so I went to the career mode
>mfw LEFT 3 TIGHTEN RIGHT 4 HAIRPIN 3 SQUARE
I don't know what I was expecting
>just tone down the graphics
You can do that in the graphics settings.
They lost the Pikes Peak license just like they lost the WRC license. Enjoy your asset flipped dirt rally 1 track DLCs you've ran a thousand times already
>listening to phil "lol you wanted that 1 right called BEFORE the jump? " mills
you're better of just memorizing stages to be honest. the calls are so inconsistent, badly paced and devoid of detail it's hard to believe this guy was codriving alongside Kris fucking Meeke IRL
Rallycross might be more your speed.
Rallycross is cringe.
Modding the 600hp RX drift missiles into normal rally stages was fun in DR1 though
I don't really get why they need licence for that, it's just a road going up the mountain to its peak. Just model your own mountain and voila.
i prefer mario kart
based
You see user with Codemasters it's not about delivering a quality product. It's about putting in the bare minimum effort needed to generate enough cash flow for the next iteration of some of their other perpetual minimum viable product racing games. Them not having the official Pikes Peak license is the perfect excuse to not bother at all.
>Kris fucking Meeke IRL
That's why I keep catching every tree.
it's funny because they seem to put more effort into their F1 yearly games than in the once in a while releases like dirt and grid
They're probably deathly afraid of losing that loicense too
>grid
Last grid was so bad, reusing content from 2006 game with some newer wec car here and there.
They might lose whole sport thanks to the virus.
they actually extended it to 2025
those games could be better but I don't think anyone on the market right now could do a better job
>trying RWD vehicles
Unironically harder than any Dark Souls boss
I love this game. Too bad I don't have space to have a dedicated racing rig, I sold my wheel and pedals because it was just too much of a hassle to set them up every time and I wasn't using them anymore.
It's actually harder than Dark Souls because in the hardest championships the AI does better times than the #1 best human time in the world and by a pretty big margin. So it's pretty much unbeatable.
I managed to snag a collapsible wheelstand with CSL elite mounted to it for cheap. With a random chair tugged against a wall I can set it up in under a minute and it fits nicely into my closet
>AI so good it beats the best human aliens
>but also so bad tarmac needs to be treated as gravel with insane grip so the AI can drive on it
the duality of pajeet coding
It's a shame, I moved out of my parents house, where I had a dedicated place for the wheel and pedals, into a tiny apartment, and now I don't have space for it.
Maybe in the future if I move to a bigger apartment.
